Do this for the soldiers.

why?

so some kid who doesn't even know the ramifications of the war and are too young to understand, but only wrote the card because a school teacher or family parent has indoctrinated them with their ideals can get a card sent to the troops?

i'm all for this if these cards were from people who can actually understand the war and make decisions for their own.

excuse me? shut the fuck up and get out of here. if you don't want to write a fucking card then dont. you dont know shit about me or my fuckin life.

saw this through a facebook group a while back. And to the bitch sayin shit about the cards, go fuck yourself.

Except, if you do it it IS from people who care... all the kids did was design the image that is on the card itself.

OH, and OP, I did it.

Even tho the kid's do not understand the whole war thing yet, I can tell you (I'm currently on my BMQ course for the canadian forces) that those cards are a moral raiser, even tho i've never recived one, My section 2-ic was telling us about some cards he got while on tour. So they deffinitly appreicate it.

iight guys thanks for the support against that d-bag know it all, but leave it behind.
the real point of this thread is for the cards, so send em up guys.

shut the fuck up. a 10 year old doesnt need to understand the damn war to send a card supporting the troops. im certain you have never been in combat, neither have I. but im certain any soldier that gets somthing, anything that would remind them of home would deffiantly give them a boost.

and your saying some little kid shouldnt go out and make one because they dont know what the war is about. your pretty fucking ignorant dude. "geteducated" dumbass

i don't really give a shit what you all think. if i did, i wouldn't have said it.

i just want to keep impressionable young minds out of an issue that has become increasingly partisan.

asian_allen, that was before the war had even started. They didn't know whether they were going to go in or not.

i sent one. even though i don't know anyone currently fighting in the war, i still think it's a great idea to support the troops and to let them know we're all thinking of them

awww yeah, sent a custom one. my best friend is a marine and about to graduate school, so i am all about sending something to keep the stoke alive over their.

I happen to agree with you, has anyone here seen generation kill where they all read teh dumb letters from kids? Its letters from people who actually matter to them that make a difference, at least thats what would make a difference to me, but who am I to talk, I haven't even gone on my first tour of duty yet...

Saw this a while back from a friend on Facebook. Been sending at least one a week. I think its a great thing Xerox is doing. I hope they make a difference to someone over there.

It comes up in the book that at the time they made fun of them cause they weren't in combat but after they entered combat and received mail after getting to Baghdad they were happy to receive anything from the outside world pretty much.

This man is correct.

I tend to agree with most of your posts related to this topic.

I sent one of the cards, but you guys should really try to find a way to send letters of your own to the soldiers. I had a pen pal in Iraq, and now I am looking for a few in Afghanistan. Also you could send some care packages. There is lots of info on the net on what you can do to support the troops even if you don't support the war.
