Do this for me

I go to a quaker school and after our meeting for worship (everyone sits in silence for about 40 min and you stand up and speak whats on your mind) our principle gave an announcement (this is the last period of the day). He goes I want everyone to tell someone close to them that they love them dearly and I want everyone to forgive someone for whatever they have done to you, no matter how bad. Lastly he says I want everyone to have a safe and happy holidays.

I know this is a stupid request but it got me thinking and life is short so why hlde grudges and not express your feelings. So I am asking each person who views this thread to do what my principle said. I have and I would love if everyone else did too.

Happy Holidays!

Definitely, spread the peace. There's this girl that I used to be close with. Her parents got a divorce a few years ago and she's held a pretty harsh grudge against her dad since. He passed away today, and she wishes that she would've talked to him in the last years of his life. You never know what's around the corner, so don't do or say anything that you'll regret.

I go to a quaker school too haha. We have meeting every thursday. I see where your principle is coming from and will try to honor his request... Not trying to be creepy or anything, but where are your from?

OMG ITS DA DEVIL! RUN BEFORE HE CAPTUES YO SOUUULLL!!!

thats how i live my life bro, no grudges. life is to short. you just gotta chill and let it slide.

i just told my GF that i love her and don't want to lose her...

and i forgive skiierman for being ginger ...

fuck off, no one wants to do it or else you wouldn't have to bump it. religion sucks, this idea sucks, let it die.

not necessarily about religion but about forgiving and telling those close to u that they mean a lot to u. thanks man, really appreciate it

my friend also goes to a quaker school...apparently in the middle of one of their moments of silence, thi skid just bellows "DEEZ NUTS", and it pretty much ruined the whole quaker ethos.

i dont see how this has to be about religion, just because it was suggested by someone of faith.

you are trying too fucking hard to be the angry cynical fuck.

You have too much time on your hands, which you pathetically use to cut people down on the internet.

Get a life man.

well fuck me for trying to make a serious thread, guess i shoulda known this would have happened. thanks for ruining it

It was a good thread and is a good idea man, just some idiots around who take joy in trolling and hating.

Yeah, as mentioned previously, you never know what is just around the corner for you in life; so I personally try to live life in the moment. I try and be nice to everyone without saying things I may regret later, try and let those around me know that I do care for them and are grateful to have them in my life. Nobody in my family is really the hugs and kisses, constantly saying I love you type, but we still find other ways to let them know we really do love each other. I also try and not hold grudges, sometimes it's difficult but I think it's better just to forgive and forget. Anyways I'm not sure exactly where I was really going with all this, but thanks for posting this and Happy Holidays to everyone!

I will do this for sure, your principal's right, life is way too short to hold grudges and not express your feelings
