Do they serve alcohol to minors on planes?

in the US, yes, usually. if youre with a parent or someone over 21 just ask them to buy for you. if youre flying to a country with a lower drinking age they are frequently more lenient, especially if you are on a non-american airline.

Saw this on instagram the other day. Semi-relevant.

domestic flights, almost no chance unless your parents are cool. International is another story tho, lufthansa for example gives out unlimited free beer, like you can ask at different times and its the same as getting a soda or water. I think air france is free also, and they gave free drinks to me on the way back (paris to montreal), but because we flew into canada, that may have changed things. The lufthansa flights where I have gotten free alcohol were newark to frankfurt, and dusseldorf to st. petersburg (and back). In a few days I will be able to update this and tell you if they serve to minors on US bound flights

i would suggest getting a few of those one oz bottles that they sell at the counter of all liquor stores. that's what they give you on planes anyway. then just grab a soda, mix up, and you're good to go. just make sure you put the liquor bottles inside of a zip lock bag so that you don't have any problems at security.

that's what i always do, but more so for the cost being that I'm more than legal age.

I tried on Alaska Air... Didn't work. She asked for my ID and I said I didn't have it. Whoops.

It depends on where the airline is registered to (or maybe just where it is flying to).

Like if you're flying on a chinese airline from us to china then i am pretty sure you can get as shitty as you want. i may be completely wrong but i think its the drinking age of the destination you are flying to and/or where the airline is registered

i cant remember if the flight was van to la or van to Australia but i was 19 and wasn't asked for id.. good times..

should've added that I am 20 and was never asked for anything other than drink preference any of these times. while flying to germany with my friends for study abroad, we rearranged our seats and got to sit next to each other. flight attendant said our row was the most beer she had given out on a flight haha

If it's a flight to or from the USA or any other country with a 21+ age limit then I'd assume so.

But what if you're an 18 year old European leaving the USA on their way to France??

yall stupid. dont matter where youre going to or coming from, depends on the airline and the laws in the airlines native country. but on most intl flights they wont id you if you dont look like your 14 anyway.

I got some champagne on delta when I was a minor. Then again it was in first class coming from London (I think? Might have been Amsterdam or Paris). But I was still surprised because it was an American airline coming into the states

My dad said when he was in his early college years and underage a bunch of his friends took a trip to Canada. On the flight as soon as they crossed the border they were allowed to order any drinks. He said they all got quite rowdy

just got back, they let me, and it was free (this has been the case on every transatlantic, usually you have to pay on domestic flights I think). I asked for a beer when they came around, and she smiled after and jokingly said something about me being 16, and we both laughed. Got a few more free beers and then took a nap. Successful flight.

Forgot to include this, but the flight was on lufthansa from frankfurt to newark, and I am 20. I think I wrote most of this earlier, but I figured I would make it easy for anyone reading this. good luck to the rest of you

i did LA to NZ and got hammered and was 19but LA to Geneva i couldn't..

it all depends on the airline but usually international they dont really care unless you look like your a baby

got free beers while on Air Berlin at 17, no questions asked. I think I got it both ways while flying, but I was barred out sooo not too memorable of a trip for me besides watching sherlock holmes three different times

Lately I've been flying on Porter airlines Ottawa to Toronto a couple times and they give out free drinks all the time and meals after 5. I've only been asked for ID once and my really bad fake worked perfectly all the other times they would just hand over the beer no questions asked. FYI I am 18 but I don't look old enough to pass as over 19 without getting ID'd usually.

really did you not read any of the thread, tons of people have said they got served. i even got severed when i was with my school on a plane and we all had wear the same shirt so it obvious we were travelling as a school. It all depends on the planes policy because there is no officially drinking laws when flying internationally.
