Do skiers hate snowboarders?

im a snowboarder, and i can totally appreciate skiing. i think its really sick. and i think its really lame when people who snowboard hate on skiers, and when skiers hate on snowboarders. and i wanna know if skiers hate on snowboarders just for being snowboarders, like some dumbass asshole snowboarders hate on skiers for only being skiers.
 
i really don't hate on snowboarders for being snowboarders. it just bugs me when the shitty ones just sit in the middle of runs or slide down pow runs and push all the snow off
 
this has been beaten to death. some people hate them for beign different. some people love them for being different. some tell us to get off snowboardings cock. some tell us to ride away on it.

do you think it would be lame for me, as a snowboarder, to buy saga outerwear? because i have talked to my friends that are skiers and some say it would be cool, and some say it would be lame. i know this really isnt like a huge deal, but i am just curious
 
i dont hate snowboarders, i think were you run into people hating on snowboarding its in the older generation of skiers who have been doing it forever. like my dad acts like he hates on snowboarding, but he really doesnt have much justification for it. they are out there enjoying the same thing that we are!
 
no if you like saga, go for it.

see skiers rarely buy burton, not because burton is a snowboarding company, but because burton hates skiing. as far as i know, sagas got nothing against snowboarding. i know a lot of skiers who rep special blend and other snowboarding companies, i don't see anything different about snowboarders in saga.
 
i dont understand this logic. yea it makes some ice spots, but the snow doesnt just disappear? its just pushed a little farther down. if we do this as much as everyone says, it should keep getting pusshed and would just end up covering everything...
 
i dont hate snowboarders, i hate idiots and assholes, which come in all shapes and sizes. be it a 5 year old girl pizzaing into a jump, 50 year olds trying to take pictures of each other on run-ins, volunteer patrollers on powertrips, sideslipping morons (i dont consider them as snowboarders btw) and assholes that hate on skiiers, no polers, throw snowballs at little kids or cut people off who were legitimately waiting. those are the people I loath.

I dont even fucking care anymore. I am a snowboarder. Skiing is legit and so is snowboarding. If someone doesn't like me snowboarding, than fuck them. I ride with probably more skiers than snowboarders. All that matters is that you like it.
 
i like snowboarders but i cant stand the ones who just after they land a jump they start scrapping the whole landing... it fukcing ruines the landing, i mean ok if you miss your trick i dont care but like they land they 180 and then they just start scrapping the whole landing so at like 1 pm the landings are icy that sucks...
 
that would be sick if you bought saga! all it can do is bring skiing and snowboarding together more when we use the other sports outerwear. if people hate, they are gay.
 
I ski and snowboard to see both sides of the spectrum. To be honest, its more about the mountain, the snow and the feeling of freedom to me then the gear. Its about the rush through the trees and pushing yourself to conquer fear and control your body.

I've been skiing since I was 2 and its far more technical than boarding. It also allows for more coverage of the mountain and just feels natural to me.

Its cool to ride with all types of people... don't be stuffy, That being said, if you don't go with fellow skiers then you're missing out. You need other skiers to watch for inspiration.
 
Snowboarding is fine, it's just the perception of those few jerky assholes that ruin it for some people, you know those ones where they talk themselves up on the chairlifts, thinking they're hardcore and then go do the little baby jumps and if the get 1cm off the ground they're stoked

Other then that i have heaps of amtes that are snowboarders, they're fine

i understand the deal of mutual respect for good snowboarders/and park snowboarders. i hate on shitty nub snowboarders/posers just as much as i hate on shitty nub skiers/kids/grandmothers/elitest racers/posers. you'd think i hate skiing more just because it has such a wider variety of things to hate on.
 
yea but they could at least go for the kid's park. or even the mini jump line. i dont hate them, moreso their parents.
 
YEA^^^ completly agree a hate those little shits. I also hate the ones that think there hella sick and get in front of the jumps bugs me so much.
 
I dont hate snowboarders, I just dont like the ones who sit in the landings, scrape off all of the snow from the jump by spinning half their rotation on the jump itself, I dont like haters, the ones that cut people off...... good thing this is only a very small portion of snowboarders who are like that. the rest I am way fine with and actualy realy like riding with
 
I think the reason skiiers sometimes hate on snowboarding(at least for me) is because they asume that they are better and that skiiers get in the way and suck(at least at my mountain). I think that snowboarding is sweet and we hit the same jumps and rails so I don't see why one doesn't like the other in the first place.
 
I don't hate snowboarders for being snowboarders, but I do hate when snowboarders rest their boards on my skis on the chairlift
 
dont hate snow boarders i do hate overly cautious parernts that try and yell at you when you go by their kids at any speed over 1mph

Ive always been chill with boarders . they got mad style and so do skiers i think instead of making dumb fights we shoudl shred together and feed off eachother. were bro's not enemy's
 
i like skiing with boarders...its just way more legit

i ride with one of the best boarders up at purg and i enjoy riding with him

i dont really like skiing with alot of skiers that hate on boarders
 
I personally dont hate snowboarders, its just the ones at my hill sit around and talk so much shit to us skiers. But theres always a couple boarders who actually board because they like to not because they think its "cool", and those are the ones that are legit. I like to hang around em cause there doin it outta love for their sport. otherwise, the other boarders bug the hell outta me

i'm a skier and a snowboarder so of course i'm not going to hate on anyone

its dumb to hate on someone for what they enjoy doing
 
dude i dont snowboard but i fucking love it frontboards look sick as hell...and all my best friends snowboard and they dont hate on skiers other then the ones that are fags...and not to mention ive seen more snowboard videos then ski vids
 
Nope i ski with my snowboarder friends every time i go. I only hate when some snowboards think their all that and act like fags towards skiers.
 
I did in the 90s. We used to spray the ones sitting down in the middle of the slope and burn off laughing, even had a points system.

Now Ive seen the light.
