i want to get my fujas edges rounded out underfoot because i was eating shit on rails today with normal edges ( i like really sucked) will the ski shops do this

depends on the shop the one i go to they detune under the foot if you ask them to but if they won't just take the finest file you got and round them off....or just keep eatin shit under they edges get dull

The shop at my mountain will detune under foot, but when he asked me if I wanted under foot I just told him to put a bevel on the whole ski. To my shop detune means bevel not round the endge off.

i skied my fujitives and never de tuned or beveled the edges, i could slide rails and boxes fine my first day. it doesnt matter that much

i really needed the detune.

i took a file and just rounded it a little... it really just dulls it... doesnt round it per say.

took like 5 minutes for each ski.

fucked the file kinda though.

So what do you do when you want your edges back ? I mean you cant shapren them back ? I hear you dont really need them though ... so

why can't you get the edges back...you just take them back to a shop and say can you sharpen my skis then most places use a machine and you get them back......it's not like you are taking a whole shit load of edge off when they are detuned...but i mean if it's a park twin i dunno why you would want them sharpened anyways

i got a full tune up and got the edges super sharpened accidentally and yes it makes a huge difference when they are super sharp. i was doing more damage to the rail than the rail was doing to my skis

I work at a shop, I detune edges all the time, But make sure they have done it before. It doesn't take much to detune them enough for rails.

yeah my edges on my skogens are pretty sharp...ive skied them for two days now while doing rails and they still arent as dull as i wished they were....caught edges suck on flat downs

yeah, seriously, i cant believe that I didnt wreck my edges and sidewalls.

i thought i was a shitty skier for the first week, then realized i had to detune my edges.
