No chance of stopping without snow tires. AWD helps you get up hills sure but it does nothing for braking. If you have shit tires you're gonna slide.

Depends on the car. I have been rocking front wheel drive with aggressive studs on them. They beast up hills no problem. Only time it's sketchy if my gas tank is getting low and my back end can pop out. It's really more bout the driver imop

Can't afford that shit. I just crash my car into snowbanks while driving with ski boots and carry a shovel and bag of gravel in the trunk. Always been fine on highways and main roads but it's always been the low speed turns like pulling into my driveway that this shit always happens. Maybe I'll buy chains but probably not.
