Do not Buy RMU

Horrible Customer Service, Horrible Product. Plus Scummit County. I remember 10-15 years ago the importance of supporting core brands like Line,Icelantic, Surface Armada, 4Frnt, ON3P, Faction that helped elevate the sport of Freeskiing during its burgeoning stage. These companies not only invested back into the sport but also had responsive customer service.

A poster on TGR won a pair of RMU skis with a huge concave in the base and RMU told them to essentially fuck off because they were give a way skis , therefore liberating RMU from any sort of accountability, warranty, or product support.

Moral of the story- Support the brands that helped build Freesking, not boutique brands created by bros living in Summit county(lol) with Man Buns that are riding on the sports coat tails.

Not to piss in anyone's Cheerios but that thread was started in 07. A 10 year old issue that might or might not have anything to do with the company as it stands now. That being said, buy what you want, I don't care what you ride.

2007 is that member's join date. The first line of the thread reads "Last year I sent in a letter to Backcountry Mag which won the letter of the month in the 2016 Gear Guide issue."

Siiick. Well inside the first circle says the post date, 02/03/2017 and the second circle is the users join date, 2007.

Touche... my bad. read through the full post.... seems like dude has a legitimate gripe. O-well they ski like shit anyway.

But hey never give other guys a chance and we don't get to elevate the sport even more because then these legends (4Frnt ON3P etc.) wouldn't have been found am i right? So ya they may have screwed up but at least we gave em a chance! I think that it is best to always invest in the indie brand smaller companies because of the things that they can bring and offer to the table

These guys essentially told a customer to Fuck Off.. Capitalism will do its job. Looks like these guys are pivoting to dog collars and beer bc they can't get anyone to buy their skis lmao

Hey man no company can be worse than revision atleast he got skis maybe shit skis but they're skis

damn lol just saw this after i just posted my other thread, i mean yeah i agree that its fucked of them to not give the guy a new pair of skis, but youve gotta think of the fact that...

alright fuck all that I just said,

I just read through the tetongravity thread for like an hour and fuck that. RMU definitely should have sent him a new pair of skis. I actually know a friends dad who works for the company and im largely disappointed now, that sucks.

While some people had some positive views on their skis, most of them were negative which shows me something.

I was thinking about buying a pair of theirs for a super long time but am definitely changing my mind.

Sticking with Hart skis who even though their shipping took a super long time, the skis are sick and they sent me another free pair. +1 to them and theyre having hella deals right now

After reading a couple posts in that thread I finally realize why homeboy quickly ditched RMU for Atomic.

I have a friend who used to be sponsored by RMU and had a few people with connection to RMU and Ive heard only bad things about how they run their company. I got to ski on the Diams before they were discontinued and they were some dope ass skis though.

I appreciate you voicing your opinion, but don't be that guy who disses on Summit County, don't involve summit county in this issue.....everyone lately has been jumping on the bangwagon of dissing Vail Resorts and Summit County. There are amazing people that live here that work for Vail Corp, have a family, and are not scum, far from it. In fact, some of the best people I have ever met in my life live here and are good standing members of the community. Sure Summit is blowing up more and more with people, however, the great people that made it are still here and they aren't going anywhere. Unfortunately this site cannot look past the terrain park lifestyle of Summit County....every edit is a park edit. Believe or not most people who live in Summit, actually never ski the park. Aww sorry now im ranting, sucks about RMU though, the ski business is def a tough one and the margins suck, no excuse though.

I think most of the Summit county hate comes from the proliferation of tourism and gapers. Colorado people by and large are some of the best people in the country, outside of the RMU owner. Fuck that guy
