Do jib boots exist?

i've been riding with the technica icon x boots for the past several years. now that im trying to get better in the park, i cant help feeling that these boots are holding me back a bit. they are really precise , but heavy as a mother, and after a few hard landings im done for the day if i ever want to walk again. is there such thing as a jib boot or park specific boot out there? i know the 1080 has been out forever, but it doesn't look all that different from the rest of their line.

if not, what's the lightest weight, comfortable boot out there for advanced skiiers? one that you can hike or walk around in too would be nice. thanks

Lange FR's, 80's if your park, 120's if you want some allmounain performance. Also tecnica is coming out with a park boot next year, I think it's called the Burn.

I just bought my brother a pair of Tecnica Diablo Fire, and they kick ass. I haven’t had them on snow, but I put them on today. They are super light, and have a wicked flex. It’s almost like there’s no boot there, but they strap good and tight to your foot, so they seem like you will have good control out of them. They beat the shit out of my Dolomite Rage X10s. I will have to steel them for a few days and see how they handle the park this winter, but I think they’re gauna tear up the park.

i cant seem to find anything about that boot.... but i cant imagine technica making a lightweight boot, or one that 's comfortable....they make top of the line boots for racing, but im looking for something different

i wanted something real cheap so i went to like MC sports and got the salomon crossmax boot basically just cuz it was real cheap. But i think its great. Im surprised ive never heard anything else about em on here. They're a little big but comfortable and super flexible. My friends have 1080's and my boots outflex them by alot. But i can tighten em up if i want.

I ski at the crappiest hill ever...

anything else? how are the lange's as compared to salomon? ive only ever skied the technica's. what about the rossignol soft boots, any good?

tecnica makes the best everything boots the diablo fires arnt very stiff 90 flex they say but it seems much less they are comforable as hell i might never get anouther boot

they look sweet, the only thing is that they are expensive as hell, i wish they could make something for poor people

Rossi Scratch boot.....

I love my Lange CRL 80 FRs. They are crazy light, and absorb shock really well. If you're not too heavy, I highly recommend them.

I have a pair of langes from like 2000 that are called "Lange Jibs" I never really used them tho, i grew out of them pretty quick. theyre size 27.5 if anyone wants to buy them.

it's less about heavy and more about comfort, you cant land hard many times in raceboots before your feet start calling you names. but if i told you to go for a 5 mile run with the choice of 15 pound ankle weights or 5 pound ankle weights, i'm pretty sure we all know what you'd choose.......bitch

I've read a lot of good things about Dalbello's 3-piece boots recently (Krypton or ZX Supersport) - check them out if you can. I've heard of guys using Salomon's soft boot (Verse line) in the park and liking it a lot but they'll suck out of the park.

^Me neither, you'll probably like them.

rossi soft lights are good boots, i really like a flexy boot for hard landings and stuff.....nordica has a good flexy boot but i forget the name of it..

Skiing in NC aint so bad

I hate it when snowboarders think they are so cool because they can 50 50 a rail

i picked up some Lange Concept Jib boots for $130 2 years ago, it was such a good deal

the more flex doesnt neccesarily mean the better boot, especially the salomon crossmax's cheap as hell and for a reason. THEY ARE RENTAL BOOTS

Only on mars do jib boots exist.

does no one understand the fact that you can't just say, ok these boots are good in the park, its the right boot for me? you NEED to go into a shop and try the boots on. you need to try different models on and figure out which one fits you the best. some people swear by their 1080 boots, but i've tried them on and they fit me like i'm sticking my foot into a tupperware container i.e. they don't feel comfy at all to me. i ride lange comp 120 fr's and they fit about as well as any boot will unless i go with a race stock boot because my feet are really skinny, but i didnt know that until i got my feet measured at a shop by someone who knows what they are doing and pointed out some boots i should check out. hopefully that helps you out.

my 1080s are amazing, no more shin bang and tons of all mountain control

Go to a ski shop and try on a bunch of boots and whichever is most comfortable for you wil probaly be best. I have technica x7's rival i know there not the best and arent made for anything imperticular but there compfortable and i perform well with them, i think its mostly personal opinion.

rossi soft boots or...what i have- salomon verse softboots. 2 straps and this pull thing. black and yellow. sooo comfortable. better than anything ive ever tried on. i think they are 2 years old? you can ski them obviously everywhere. if someone complains about having to "work harder" out of park, they are a vagina. it isnt difficult. they are soft like no other. check ebay or a ski swap...

Yeah, of course. But all boots can be modified pretty cheaply these days. The guy clearly wants to know what boots would be better for park regardless of fit and price.

i beleive the 1080 would be the best bang for your buck...thats what i want to get

u ride a saloman boot so i assume that u wouldnt be comfortable is a lange so i would go to the head mojo boots that r comin out next year. They gotta be sick!

I am on my second season in my Tecnica Diablo Fire (with HotForm Liners).

i love them. they aren't too heavy, and are great as an all mountain boot.

They have an awesome power strap that really clamps the upper boot to your shin, so you can eliminate shin bang. They are wider in the toe box than previous models but still tight fitting around the ankle.

If you have ridden with Tecnica's before you'll love these!
