Do I wait?

I’m new to park but it seems every time I try there’s just a shit ton of kids just waiting at the top. I try to wait but end up standing for a while and just go for it.

is there some etiquette to this? Or can I just go whenever the first guy clears it

this is common at every park. it is a mandatory 3 minutes of silence to pray to andy parry who sacrificed his balls so we can shred without fear of getting sacked ourselves.

Just kinda make it clear you what to go, if everyone waiting at the top to drop, just slide like 5 feet down to let them know you’re going soon, call your drop, and go, if someone is better than you clearly just wait. But ya just do it, and if you crash get up fast, or have a buddy like make everyone stop so they don’t hit you idk how to explain

nah but fr just check if anyone is going and if not just go, just dont snake anyone

I second this, if you are riding in and don't see any movement or anyone calling drop I'd say go for it. Be aware of the situation, but no need to wait 5 minutes to hit a flat bar to enter the park

If you stop with everyone else just sort of move to the drop zone with everyone else, if you plan on going just call your drop/ask people if you can drop. There is little more infuriating a thing than dropping in and getting snaked by someone who just skis by you

When you get to the park just wait your turn and then if it isn't obviously your go, call your drop. The top of the park a lot of people are just hanging out. Talk to people and make friends while you wait. I have made a lot of friends that I now ski with often just by talking to them at the top of the park. Just don't snake people. When you get the the top, take a breath and chill for a second before you drop. Work your way slowly to the front, then go when nobody else is clearly going. This makes it so you don't snake anyone. Also if you crash get up fast and out of the way.

If its just kids I know are gunna hit rail lips, I blast past them. If there are some dudes there lookin like they are getting ready to try something I wait for them to go first and get them amped up.

You’re sponsored by Gilson right?

If you crash after a jump/feature and you ski pops off, grab it, run to the side THEN click back in.

I feel like the most common type of waiting I do in the park is kids having trouble clicking back into their skis but not getting out the way.

I hate when kids don’t know how to hike. Like, don’t climb higher than everyone else if you’re gonna sit there for 5 min before you drop. Same when there’s a line to drop in and the people in the front don’t even want to go.

Op just say “is anyone going” and if nobody says anything you’re good to go.

we used to call our drops... do people not do that anymore?

I wonder if its a location based thing. I don't hear people call drops here , we just wait and just go when there's an opening.
