Do I need a new helmet?

well recently i just fell anf fractured my radius although before that i fell and hit my head and apparently i was concussed. i've inspected my helmet, no dents, marks, nothing. i'm just thinking of the one hit rule, do you guys think i need a new one?
 
what helmet?

if there is no impact marks in the impact foam layer you might be ok, but some helmets are those single impact bs ones...
 
and then get knocked out when he falls... your a smart one. you shouldnt have to if theres no inpact mark but if you bring it to a shop they might kno?
 
Unless your helmet has dents in it from impacts, or unless you really smacked your head hard, then you shouldnt need a new one.
 
it should be good you should bang it against somethin some to make sure that you just can't see like an internal crack in it or something but most likely it is all good.
 
not all wounds inflicted to your helmet all visible. dude its your head... if you have the money i would get a new one.
 
A good helmet is no more than $100. If there is any doubt that the structural integrity of your helmet is compromised, then destroy it and buy a new one. At the end of last season, I took a serious fall and smashed the back of my helmet on ice, suffering a pretty serious concussion. At first glance, the helmet was fine, but I looked at it very closely under a light and there was a big hairline fracture in the foam. These helmets are only good if the integrity is in tact.

Don't risk it man, get a new one. It's your life. Don't end up like C.R. :(
 
like i've said in previous posts helmets only take such a beating...they are only meant to protect your head from an impact of 12 m.p.h. or less even though nothing may seem wrong with your helmet I'd get it checked out. The store might just tell you to buy a new helmet though to make a profit...rather be safe than sorry
