True, most boot manufacturers put fairly low quality footbeds in boots, thats why its a great idea to get custom ones. To the thread creator though, boots are supposed to fit tight, very tight in the case of a high performance boot, but they will pack out. I put custom footbeds in all my boots, but for instance i have to wait a few weeks for my new race boots before i get footbeds. Reason being is they will pack out, and if footbeds went in now, in 3 weeks they'd be too thin. Ski them tight, wait for them to pack out, and then work towards footbeds. The few weeks of possibly uncomfortable boots is well worth it in the long run.
