Do colleges revoke acception?

I am going to the University of Rhode Island in the fall, however I am failing three classes right now in my final quarter due to "senioritas". When URI looks at my final transcript this summer will they unaccept me? Or should I REALLY get these grades up?
 
It's possible. They can give you a delayed acceptance or pull it. It rarely happens though.
 
Not sure, but pulling those grades in college will cost you thousands instead of just getting grounded. You think your distracted by chi chi's now, just you wait.
 
It's definitely a thing. Whether or not it will happen, I have no idea. Maybe call the admissions office and ask.
 
Well shit man, they will definitely revoke your acceptance if you don't finish high school. But yeah, hit the books, colleges are in it to make money and they don't want someone who they see will fail out within a year or two. With that being said, a lot of people go through a senior slide, so salvage what you can and hope for the best.

I don't want to make it sound like I'm a bum lol. Classic senior slide and my grades will go up before the year ends. However I have given up in physics and will get an F. Also a possible second if I don't put in some work in the next couple days. Just wondering if this could happen to me because of a grade like that

If your GPA drops significantly, or you fail they will revoke your early admission.

It's tough to say. If you know you're going to fail, start talking to people and figure out if it's a mandatory course to graduate or if you'll need to retake it. If you had a decent GPA going into this semester it may be just fine.

Just make some phone calls and get a grasp on what you need to do, whether it is a summer class plan or whatever. My advice is just to be proactive and don't get blindsided with any kind of news, colleges will generally accept you if you put the work in and show that you are capable of being there.

And once college begins, kill it when it comes to grades. It goes by fast and I regret not taking my GPA booster classes seriously, it gets a lot tougher down the road.

Well if you fail the 4th quarter and the final you fail the class all together which is Pono's policy, so stop being a pussy and do some schoolwork. Or at least go to school once in a while you bum.

wowowowowow OP and undetected r friends in real life. Such drama. But seriously OP, I know of kids who failed several classes end of the year and had to take summer courses so the school would still take them, but they were all going for sports scholarships and had committed by the end of junior year/early senior year. URI does require end of year grades to be sent in once you graduate. I'd say if you get an F in at least one class you should be fine. Two, not so sure, but three, you're gonna need some help or have to meet with the school admissions board to talk about it and see if you can do any summer work to make it up.

Rule of thumb in most cases, if you're okay to graduate, you'll be fine getting into college. If I were you, I'd keep the amount of F's to a minimal level and you'll be fine.

Yes, if you get an 'F' you will likely see your acceptance revoked, if not your high school diploma.

A 'classic senior slide' is a fucking myth, used by lazy bums to help justify their inability to stay on target.

News flash, no one gives a fuck if you are a senior in high school. Finishing high school with a 3.0 or higher and not failing a class is an expectation; not an achievement. Your life has not even started yet and you want to start relaxing, and let it 'slide.'

Guess what, no one gives a fuck that you are a senior in college either.

The only time it could ever, possibly, make sense to 'let some stuff slide' would be after you have turned in your retirement notice at your final employer; even then its a shitty practice that won't win you any friends.

I know a 17 year old young man is rarely thinking about anything other than figuring out how to get a girl to take her pants off, but get your shit together you fucking idiot.
 
you should be able to get straight A's with minimal studying. hit the books the night before the final exam and you will be fine.

But seriously OP- hit the books, talk to your teachers about what you can do to pull up your grades. I know it's easier to slack off or just coast by, but finishing strong is super important.

I had my acceptance to University of Oregon pulled and it was the worst feeling ever.

Try and pull trough. You've got summer to jerk around. Getting good grades at the end shows your commitment to school and that you'll make it in college.

I was out of state, I had a brain injury my jr. year, causing me to miss a lot of of school. I had poor grades my first semester of senior year but finished with a 4.00 unweighted. My test scores we mediocre. It got pulled because had a rough senior year, and they didn't feel I could perform well at their school. It was because I goofed up and din't take my classes seriously.
 
u of toronto required a 75 percent or above in calc and some other classes by the time you graduate or they'll revoke their offer. that was some bullshit because who wants to work that hard last semester of senior year?

You are way past talking to teachers, if your failing now during the last 3 weeks there is a good chance you wont be able to make up MONTHS of slacking. I've played that game before, don't kid yourself. Start making a plan B
