Do baggy pants slow you down if it’s a matter of seconds for a comp?

No, but just a fun fact at the fwt at verbier as kendal goodman started, the commentators said the he always wears full baggy and that’s good tactic’s because on steep venues the baggy pants slow you down

They’re actually designed to slow you down in the air and billow out acting as a sort of ass mounted parachute for softer landings

its not that deep

I mean it definitely can matter. Ive way overshot jumps when I ski shirtless because you lose so much less speed.

People saying "it's not that deep" to questions about minute details on here has been pissing me off lately

yeah they definitely do. you can tell when you're straightlining really big/fast lines, and it's why (along with booze) every naked jump poacher seems to overshoot by a mile

it's not surprising at all when you think about it. we tuck or sit down on our skis to gain speed, that's the same idea-- air resistance
