fuck guys im pissed off. I spent fuckng £250 yesterday on new boots, had them fitted for TWO HOURS, and they hurt. They hurt like shit. Everywhere that could hurt, hurts. Do you think after ski boots are made they get shipped to a pain factory, where they re-shape the shell to make it hurt real bad?

So does everyone else's boots hurt like nothing else? Or do i just have shit feet?

do you have snow up in england yet? like does it hurt up on the mountain or are you just sorta saying once you put 'em on again at home?

well first of off i can say is that like with all footwear you gotta wear into them even if you got 'em fitted and all and that takes about maybe 10 wears or so.

and i'm sure alot of other ppl could tell u more if you give the model of boot

ok they are Lange 100 comp.

I haven worn them skiing yet, its just around the house. Im going to this indorr real snow place 2moro so i will chek them out then. They just feel real crappy like. They arent too bad when i stand up i guess. i dunno.

you need to wear them while skiing a few times. I have Lange Banshee 9 boots, and it took 5 days before they fit well. you are going to have to break them in man.

yah that's true, you do have to break them in but also remember this: Skiing is different to walking. a lot different. If they hurt walking around that doesn't mean they're going to hurt while you're skiing. Mine aren't very nice to walk in either but on the hill they're freakin' soooo damn good.

Mine dont hurt me, but i get funny bone spurs or something every winter, they go away in the summer tho. I think i should get new ones, but i dont know if its these particulat boots that do it, or just all the skiing I do.

I haven't skied in my rossi xx freerides yet but when I walk around the house in em they don't hurt at all. well, except yester day when I walked on the hard wood floor with them and slipped and fell, that kinda hurt...

yay for skiing

maybe you could wear them to bed, like in the ads? then you could trip on acid and watch a dude ski down your teepee.

whatever works

just take a right at the 4-ways, then over the yellow line. If the man with the red hat says anything to you, just tell him that dw sent you. The secret password is 'coo-loo-coo-coo-coo-coo-coo-coooo'.-dw

Never EVER Buy boots that are too big.. not even half a size.

On another note, anyone have custom insoles that were molded to your foot? I might get a pair...well maybe

well i used my new boots last night skiing for a few hours, although most of teh time wasn't actually skiing. The slope is 170m long and the lift takes ages. Anyway, they were ok, when standing on the lift the soles of my feet were kinda aching but that went as soon as i got skiing.

This place i go to www.snowdome.co.uk totally sucks, i mean its the only place to go in England unless u wanna go off to a proper resort in Europe which school holidays only allow for one week a year :/ Anyway they onyl rent these majorly shit salomon verse skis with these really shit shit shit bindings. I just did like a standing 180, not moving or anything, and the fucking binding just falls straight off. The bindings fell off like 4 times altogether even wen i turned up the DIN a bit and shit. Yea this isnt relevant.

I didnt get custom footbed, just a damn expensive normal one, im thinking i should have paid a bit more and got it custom.

hey man i am from wales and i know how you feel. I got salomon x wave 8 and they took a couple of days to break in when i went sking to andorra. I got them from ellis brigham and i brought a custom footbed. They are soo comfortable, it is worth the money. Skiing in england is soo shit and scotland is poor to. Can't wait to go to andorra in feb!

to guys in England:

is it true the Milfield (or Middlefield, well some preppy prep school) has their own ski slope with two lifts?

if they do how large is it?

and i heard everyone from there's just a bunch of crackheads is that true?

Yes all ski boots hurt, it really depends on how hard you get kicked with them.

Hey Joe, all boots hurt at first but they shouldn't hurt everywhere - especially your toes.

The liners will 'packout' over time, that is, the foam will compact giving you a bit more room. Wear them round the house, it should get to the point that you forget your wearing them - just keep the buckles loose.

Also, did they do any punches when you were at Ellis Brigham? Like if it really hurts on your ankle, or the side of your little toe, they can heat the plastic and expand the boot in that area.

I highly recommend getting the toe box blown out. You need a tight fit to hold in your heel, and you've obviously got a narrow foot if they fitted you in Langes, but there is no need for the circulation to be cut off in your toes.

Also, do get custom soles, but after the boots have been worn in.

Hope this helps.

P.S Check out the indoor Slope at Milton Keynes. Nothing spectacular but a darn site better than Tamworth !!

Made in Tasmania.

Suitable for ages 5+.

Set includes lots of guns and ski equipment.
