I wanna see people transfer some Ski Stunt levels to this. And please stop making so crappy backrounds. Atleast use like vecor shapes or something so it doesen't look like it was spray painted by a fucking 10 year old with ADD.

to line1260skier: i think someone was making a slopestyle course, and it had the kink rail that they were talking about earlier in teh ski gabber forumn, but right now they could only have 3 jumps b/c that's how many the original dna spin allowed.

also: i made same sweet icons for the exe file cruZ is making (not ns icons, they are .ico files), but i don't know how to upload them cause geocities wont accept them. they're pretty basic, but cool, and if anyone wants em, as opposed to the normal white screen icon that goes with a .exe file, email me.

about the backgrounds... im am godawful lazy, and i myself dont mind the awful backgrounds. i tried making a decent background, but i dont have creativity like that. my levels no have flags at eh lip, trees, and a bird. i cant think of anything else to decorate. but if you sed mario or duck hunt sucked because the graphics aren't great, then you are retarded.

 
the backgrounds are hard to do and they take a LONG time to get perfect...

ok, i got a question guys....I've been doing a lot with photoshop making my own backgrounds. I've been using a lot from the original DNA backgrounds, so they look more 3D. I'd like to start making my own levels, but I can't find anything that'll let me open LWO files. I've downloaded a TON of programs that will open LWO files, but can't edit them. If I could export them as an AutoCad file, I could edit them in there, but then I'd need to change them back to LWO. Is there anything besides actually Lightwave that could do it? I know I can get Lightwave off kazaa, but that's a big file and I only have dial up! Thanks!

Yeah, try making one of the backgrounds from scratch. Its one thing to copy my basic design and put a better backdrop on it, and texture the snow. But when you have to go through 2 hours of trial and error trying to get it right, you really cant do a good job, because you will just have to erase it. I really dont want to spend a day or two on a good background, and then figure out I have to erase it because it doesnt fit the model.

And yes, I had to go out for mothers day. As many of you have seen, a MAJOR thunderstorm system came through the east coast today. What was supposed to be a few hour brunch at my grandmas got delayed because of heavy downpour, power outages, and grape sized hail. I should have it out by tomorrow for you guys.

Also, a few of the people that have been helping me out with levels got delayed a little bit too. Please be patient, the less rushed it is the better it will be.

 
Not to be bitter...you just kinda compared me to a 10 year old with ADD...but seriously, I appreciate the help. Feel free to do more.

 
hey yo brit, lightwave on dialup is only 60megs, um 3 hour download, just go do something else, i should know cause i had to download it cause my .3ds to .lwo converter program was messed up. Just get lightwave it saves time.

juuust so u guys kno, about the slopestlye shit, we gotta go and change the java source, and, if anyone other than me knows java (kmon i need help) u gotta help cause this has to be the most fucking complicated program in java i have ever seen. there are a good 15 classes for simply aliing other classes (DNA), then a good 40 classes for the theatre, and then there is this 50 classes of semi 3D shit that i have no idea what the fuck is going on. so yah, if anyone is good at java, speak up.

There are java decompilers out there. I looked at some of the source code and some of it made sense, but nothing that would really help us.

 
Limwarrior, im on dialup and i know for a fact that no matter how much you try and trick out your connection, you cant get 60 megs in 3 hours, or even at 6 hours.

about the java, im way ahead of u guys there. ive already don decompiling and its not too complicated, its very self explanitory. all i need is a program to compile them back into a class file. if anyone find one i can do some shit. still theres a matter of fixing my computer too. it had a major crash and registry files had sex. basically half of my programs dont work.
