I've wanted to make this for years, and finally learned enough Flash and OOP stuff to do it this summer.

I'm releasing this now for everyone to play with while I struggle with some level size issues. When those problems are fixed, rails/boxes, more controls, better graphics, level sharing, and hopefully a ton of other stuff will be added.

Enjoy!

Dude once your done this is gonna be pretty sick! one thing I don't like is the way the guy spins, lol it just annoys me but w/e its still pretty cool.

dude, thats sooooo fun. The only thing is the spin, it's not quite right. But that's pretty sick.

if there was some way to incorporate the coolness (graphics, grabs, whatever) of dna spin into that, it would be wicked cool. not too shabby as it is

pretty cool. Needs some work. the spin and flip needs to be slower so you can actually land stuff. The line edit takes some time to get used to. I look forward to the next version.

> make it 3d

I'm always thinking about it. Making parks in Sketchup and riding them in this would be niftybeans.

> How do you draw the line?

> Amen. WTF!?

Get in Draw mode. Hold the mouse still. Click. Drag the circles around to refine the line.

The mouse has to be still for a point to be added, which is kind of weird, but I found I kept accidentally drawing new lines when I tried to curve an existing line and missed the circle handle by a pixel. Since there isn't a way to erase lines yet, I figured this way the way to go.

I can do the 3D player model. I'm not sure about the detailed backgrounds - the levels this will be able to make are way bigger than DNA Spin, which means much larger images, or finding a way to generated them on the fly. I might just throw in a lined paper background and make everything pencil-sketchy looking instead of going for realism.

>supersick but can i draw outside the page? cause i cant figure that out

Not yet, I'll get that going when I fix the level size issues. Right now the game starts running really slowly when there are too many lines. Bigger levels will just make that worse.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

double front 7 on the kick to double back 9 on the QP.  make it like ski stunt and you will have yourself a game.

u should try to make the physics alittle more real.

like add friction when on the snow and stuff

and add like real corks and bios.

this game is damn addicting though

i love it. only thing i would like you to change would be the spins, once you start you kinda have no control and it keeps going, same with flips/

double clicking the draw circle makes it go away, and I keep doing it on accident!

im not sure everybody understands how to make the line but it took me a while to figure it out too.

I usually click on "draw" to start. Then a gray circle pops up in the top left corner. DONT click on that circle. instead click a point on the screen that you want a line to stretch to. So, if the point is at the top left and you click in the center of the screen, then a line will connect from the original gray spot, to the point that you clicked. If you want u can move the gray spot around, but you'll have the most room to ski if u start from the top left. also, once u have a line created, u can move around the new gray spots to bend the lines and make them curved!

If that makes sense, i hope it helps!

OOooo, I never even tried that before. That is weird.

You shouldn't have to touch the first circle that shows up on the top left unless you really want to change where the line starts.

Is there white text inside the red bar that says anything? If so, what does it say?

Is there a 'Draw' button to click on at the top left side of the game?

Are there changes in progress being made to this game? It's sick right now, but it looks like there's a lot of potential to make something epic.
