what you guys think of him, i wasnt a big fan of him but i went to his concert the other and was pretty damn good.

He is an amazing guitar player. His stuff is pretty sweet, i'm not really too much in to him, but my band loves him.

Thats just my opinion

my oldest brother had me into dave since i was like 9. he's an amazing musician along with the band. we're seeing him august 21st here at the hartford civic center.

 
He's pretty good. I have grown to like his music more as I have heard more of it. I used to think it all sounded alike. I don't think I would pay the outrageous ticket prices to see him though. He isn't that great.

 
go to a show for sure. Even if you dont care for him that much, his shows are amazing

i like their older stuff and especially like the live at luther cd. i sorta hate the new stuff but went to a show last summer anyways. they were all so good at their respective instrument that it ended up being a great show. i was impressed.

 
his show completely changed the way i think of him and the band. they are all hella talented. the violinist is absolutly amazing he had a solo and the was the best thing ive ever heard.

DMB is OVERATED. Their stuff ain't bad, but it isn't anything special in my opinion. So many people love him and think of him as some musical god. I see DMB as just another band.

I dont HATE their music.. But not a big fan. dont listen to much of it and dont have any cds. Hasn't ever done anything for me.. So many better guitarist out there guys.

Dave Matthews just isn't good. i mean, his music isn't really that great...and to call him an amazing guitar player is really really an overstatement. There are soooo many better guitar players. Al Schnier, Trey Anastasio, Warren Hayes, Derek Trucks...thats just to name a few...lots of bands i listen to have great guitar players...i just dont know their names off the top of my head.

Dave Matthews for the most part is for people who can listen to pop music...with a semi talented band.

sugar put it right. i think Dave Mathews use to be on the right track to becoming a great guitarist back in the early 90's but after that he made the wrong move and became mainstream which has fucked over his guitar playing because his promoters tell him how to play. if you listen to Dave back in the early 90's its good shit (when he use to guest appear w/ phish) but after that its become POP

yeah they are guitar players gone pop. look at it this way i bet they get so many more hot girls then other jam bands though. but who cares its the music that counts

 
hes gotten way too mainstream in the past few years. it really pisses me off
