Nah dude, his lyrics. I've got pretty much all his songs. he doesn't rap about anything that normal rappers do. Its cool.

he is sick and deff mellow and he says in most of his tracks he doesnt want to talk about killing ,"just because i dont speak about death in my song"-Universal Love. Emo they talk about killing themselves or being depressed ...big difference

I dunno, Anticipation is pretty emo if you ask me. Emo isn't about killing yourself dude.
Obvioulsy its not emo like normal emo bands, but for rap, I'd say DL resembles it more than anything.
