Any body know some good free DJ-ing programs. I search barred and nothing came up. Like the program DJay has 15 mins free thats bout it. anything better NS?

This is a production tool, not a DJ program. Although I have actually seen one person Dj with it, it was pretty weird to watch.

What kind of equipment do you have? Are you looking to make music or DJ? What style? Just saying a "DJ program" is fairly meaningless... There is ashit ton of music software and they all have different applications.

things like mixing music and creating beats, just for fun not for like partys or anything idk i obviously dont know a lot about the different things which is what im trying to learn you could say

ableton is for production, not djing. If you are new, try producing instead. Making your own stuff >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> using others peoples stuff.

Not true at all. Ableton is great for DJing with the right gear. I have an APC 40 + Ableton live and it is FANTASTIC for DJing. In fact there are a ton of controllers that work great with Ableton....

Well Ableton would probably be the best for you. If you have a PC you can probably find a good torrent for it or you can buy it. It does everything you could want from production to Live music.

You can't scratch in either fruity loops or ableton.

If you have tables and just wanna play around with 2 different songs, get virtual dj or something.

If you don't have any talent already I wouldn't bother, theres too many dj's in the world already.

This. This program is pretty great, really easy to torrent so just do that... Then just youtube virtual dj tutorial, first one that pops up, youre good to go.

Agree, and you should get

If you have the money def get the RMX, unless you are a professional and want to use $1500 + gear. It comes with virtual dj but get trakster I just downloaded it and I got the RMX a few days ago. Read the reviews on it

you guys I want to drop hella beats with my macbook and blow up every party I go to what dj program should I use. my macbook is my equipment and euro house music is my drug.

really though I just kind of want to be able to make a 2 hour long seamless playlist to jam to.

I used fruity loops one time after downloading it off limewire but all I ended up doing was making the computer voice say erotic things on repeat with bass drums in the background.

only bad thing about torrenting Virtual DJ is that you cant download any effects or drivers off the website. besides that its pretty good for messing around. It has pretty much everything you need to mix. I do parties every once in a while with it and it works like a charm. youll need a midi for any program you get though. Trust me you dont want to use your mouse and keyboard for anything but selecting songs. so theres a couple of things you are going to have to get

Ive got an m audio x sessions pro and it works perfectly for mixing in virtual dj.

its about 99 bucks so its pretty cheap. you have a cross fader, headphone cue, pitch control, low, mid, high knobs, volume, pause play, cue and seek buttons for each deck. plus six extra knobs to do with as you please. obviously you can map it any way you like. For example I use the seek buttons for -1/2 and +1/2 beat looping.

Unless your computer has two sound cards your also going to need a audio interface to cue in your headphones. the one I have is a a uca222

It's marketed as ultra low latency. If you dont know what that means, in lay mans terms you hear the music as its playing. No delay which happens with some really cheap interfaces. It costs around 30 bananas so its also pretty cheap.

this is pretty much the basic of the basic that you need. Virtual DJ beat matches for you with a click of a button and visually its an awesome lay out. Personally im growing out of this and are in the market for some cdj's. But thats way later for you. I hope this helps

from what ive heard, that is shit. like 70% terrible. I was going to buy it but after reading reviews I decided against it.

anddd if you have any questions about it, or are wondering if some opinions in the reviews are truthful...let me know what your questions are. i'll be happy to try an answer them
