Today feb.16th I get this mail from saga:

Hey Tommie,

We will be sending out shipping updates to all customers by Saturday the

17th. We have received all finalized team suits and are waiting on final

shipping details from our manufacturer.

And they have told me that they shipped it in mid jan.15th and the feb.7th. And now they send me a message that the cloths isent done yet!?

Have someone get there cloths yet? My skiseason is start to running out too so I want them now!. I payd for them dec.5th
 
not a big deal man, I ordered my replacement Lenses On August 23, 2006, and didnt recieve them until January 11th, 2007.
 
its a company...don't tell people one thing and do another...it causes posts like this which are not too helpful w/ business regardless if its their fault or not.
 
yeah they are a company but the cloths are made some where else then shipped to them. They are also waiting for the cloths to come in from the factory so dont put all the blame on them.
 
you guys need to understand that this is there first year in business. sure its frustrating and all but cut them a little slack. theyre trying

Plus they're solid as fuck, I only have ONE 1 tiiny tear at the bottom and I've worn them since late december, and they're very waterproof, skiing in pouring rain? You'll be dry and warm all day.
 
To everyone that is saying "Its not their fault" IT IS THERE FAULT. As a business they need to make sure that they fulfill their obligations to their customers, if their manufacturer is not meeting deadlines then they need to hassle that manufacturer or they need to find a new one. In any other industry if something like this happened Saga would be loosing all its sales and would have some rough years ahead of them. In any case, Saga needs to either find a new manufacturer, keep their customers up to date, or maybe actually get their gear before they allow people to order them, or mollify their customers in some other way.

Yes it is Saga's fault, they promised you guys something and did not deliver, you guys should be pissed and be asking for you money back.

 
well they probably commited to that factory/manufacturer for this year so that may be why they're not using a new one...and that factory is fuckin up.

and the wait is worth it...the clothing is probably the illest shit i've seen come from a new company.
 
dude, gotta have patience in life. sure we were supposed to get it last month, but if it's half as good as it's hyped up to be it will last us long enough until we don't even remember waiting. plus if I withdrew my preorder they would probably make me send back the free tshirts they gave me and they are just to sick to do that.

NEW OUTERWEAR RULE: If it isn't at least as good, technical, and stylish as a piece of Burton/AK/Ronin outerwear in the same price range, you shouldn't buy it.

Newschool skiing is the only fucking sport in which participants will put up with this kind of bullshit from manufacturers. Open your fucking eyes, tools.
 
where the hell do you think burton came from, you have to support the new companies. You don't start out as an international corporation. and the reason we support small companies is that they put a lot of effort into their stuff so it outshines the burton stuff, the trade-off being not quite as quick as burton.
 
You are missing the point. The problem is not the waiting or having patience, the problem is that Saga said they would do something and they did not follow through with it -- as far as I know anyways. And I'm not trying to hate on Saga, but as a business entity they need to fulfill their promises or do the best they can to fix it, I don't think "oops, we said we already sent it but its still not here yet, wait a few more months" is fixing it.

It's thanks to you and people like you that mediocre companies continue to exist, and it's thanks to morons like you that newschool skiing won't be able to create its own paralel industry like snowboarding did, dooming us to agressive rollerblade status. But keep thinking you're cool!

We are contacting all of our customers to update everyone on our

manufacturing and shipping status and apologize for our delays and

inconvenience this is causing. We have received confirmation that we

will not have our product available to ship until March 15. We want to

say that we understand your frustration and would like to answer any and

all of your questions.

After our original 2006/2007 line sold out over the summer, our plan was

to create a pre-release and allow pre-sales on a select number of part of

our 2007/2008 line. Based off of feedback from specific customers we

planned to offer an exclusive mid-season release to show some of what is

to come in the future from Saga Outerwear.

The last year has been dedicated to re-establishing our network of

suppliers and manufacturers. Until this year we have had many limitations

on achieving the highest levels of quality and detail. Although we

received overwhelming positive feedback from our original line we feel our

new line is superior in every aspect.

We apologize for not making this more clearly stated. All of our efforts

have been placed on R&D we have yet to release any advertising or press

releases.

All reserve orders placed by February 8 will be placed on the same

priority of remaining team gear and will be available March 15th or

sooner.

All orders placed by February 8th will receive a free Saga tee shirt and

full suits will receive 2 free Saga Tee shirts. If we have not contacted

you about this please send us a message.

After all this being said we planned to offer a pre release for the 2007

mid season and we are late providing our product. We understand your

disappointment is probably equal to our level of frustration but we assure

you that this gear is worth the wait.

If you are losing or have lost your patience please email us with your

refund request.

If you have any specific or detailed questions please email them to us.

We will continue to do all we can to make your purchase available to you

as soon as possible, and to keep all of our customers informed if we can

improve our shipping timelines.

i didnt like their shit this season anyway. they need to remake the black and white ones and make the blue one wiley miller has. that thing was dope.
 
man, that sucks, hopefully this will influence a drop in their prices because that blue and green suit are looking mighty nice.

yo guys be easy its a low profile underground company. their trying there best to make sure everything is good and that they can have good customer service. take a deep breath and wait a little longer. It will be worth it when it comes
 
I canceled my order and bought a siver suit for about 1/2 the money

glad I did since I doubt you will get anything before summer
