depends on damage to your ligiments / rotator cuff. when I dislocated mine, I fractured it in a few places and tore all the ligiments and cartiledge, so I needed surgery. Put me out for 6 months. You need to get an MRI so they can see how bad it is... if your not in mass amounts of pain though, you probably didn't do much damage.

mine has come out a few times. see your doctor and he will tell you what exercises to do so that it will be harder for it to come out again.

my friend's shoulder comes out all the time now cuz he has dislocated it so many times.

Got my shoulder torn out of the socket during a wrestling match once. Do rehab if you can afford it man, it really helps. Even so, my shoulder ached pretty bad for probably 6 months, and still gives me problems now. Joints are bad news...

i dislocated my shoulder and broke in clean in half at the same time (not fun)then they had to pop the stump back in before they could set the bone....

shoulders are junk, i dislocated mine 5 times one season and had to go to the doc 4 out of the 5 to get it put back in. it just keeps coming out easier each time. If it keeps happening your fucked and your eventually going to need surgery, but even that doesn't fix it permanently, I dislocated it again last spring after having full reconstructive surgery. go to your doc and get x-rays if needed, otherwise go to a physical therapist and figure out some rehab exercises you can do yourself. ending a season this early would really blow, good luck dude.

ice, ice, ice. Lightweight isolation exercises of each of the different "heads" of the shoulder, shock therapy, and stretching can only help.

i dislocated my shoulder eating shit on a rail 2 years ago and then dislocated it all the time wakeboarding. It sucks!

I finally had it operated on and i have a mean scar, but things are cool after about 6 months after the operation

i dislocated my shoulder, it sucked, i didn't take care of it until the end of the next season, and it kept coming out and stuff and it only got worse, had i taken care of it right away it would've healed faster but because i didn't i had to get a bone graft to lock it from my collarbone

It depends on how serious it was, for example my shoulder has been known to dislocate from time to time but it's mostly really minor stuff like subluxing or coming out, but not so bad that i'm not able to put it back on my own. Talk to your physical therapist, if you don't allready have one, get one now because you'll use him or her at least once a year for the rest of your life if you plan on continuing skiing. They'll be able to take some pictures and figure out if you need surgery or if you can keep it from coming out with some stretches and focused strengthening exercises. Right now i'm doing weight training for the two muscles that hold the shoulder from coming out vertically and can definatly feel a difference. I'm sure my shoulder will come out during this ski season, but the exercises help you prevent most of the incidents that would do it if your tendons just kept getting more and more strained.

Yeah I popped mine and honestly, do you even need a shoulder to ski? Haha but seriously, it'll hurt for a while after like soreness and I've heard they pop out easier but I don't know if that's just the kids trying to sound badass saying they dislocate it trying 7's and shit.

my friend dislocated his skiing, said it was the worst pain he has ever experienced in his life, and hes broken his neck in a car wreck before. (scary shit) but yea he was out for like 2 months i think.
