looks and reputationwise :

- Fischer because lets gets serious, big stix, and ugly as fuuuuk

- marker bindings because well, honestly

- salomon because even though they started out good, Im not sure that they get it anymore and what the hell their motivation is

- belive it or not, Im a little shady about why 4frnt hasn't advertised their binding more, I mean I know it's basically someone else's with their name on it (or so Im lead to believe) but I'd like to hear it in some detail from someone at 4frnt officially

performancewise :

- rossi because I dont like how they ski

- I didn't know elan was even worth mentioning ... for any reason (and does anyone know the truth to Armada being built in Elan factory and IF SO why the hell do elan twins suck so much in comparison ...)

- Atomic because they feel like steel bars. and whoever likes stiff ass park skis can stiff themselves in the ass, ask yourself WHY.

Id have to say the only big brand I like even a bit is Dynastar, you still wouldn't catch me buying a pair. Not with all our other options around

I really dislike Dynastar skis, because their edges have been cracking and falling out ever since they started making twin tips, and they have made no effort to fix them

I .HATE oakley, because I .HATE how trendy they've become, and I .HATE their new styles, and I really .HATE how they're so horribly expensive.

 
i don't hate oakley. i have alot of oakley stuff. but for me, they've certainly dropped a couple notches this year...there are arguably many nicer and better goggles, and their outerwear is gross as a whole. add on a huge price tag for any product, and im not super stoked at all.

-Salomon. Because they make shitty skis with foam coars, they make shitty bindings, and dont care about newschool skis

-Tyrolia. Because they make shitty ass bindings...Like I had a pair and I cranked them up to 10 and they still popped out realy easily

I love:

-K2. Because they make awesome skis, ahh I love my PE's.

-Look. Because they make awesome bindings. Even though they pinch your ass when you land back seat, they are awesome bindings. I am sure everyone agrees.

True Story

Marker: When you could of died because of a product being so shitty it deserves to get ranted on. A couple of season ago i was throwing myself off the largest jump set up at sugarbowl with PEs (excellent ski) and marker bindings. on my last run of the day i decided to go down and hit some of the smaller jumps because their were more rails on that side of the park. as i came down off of a 180 from a smaller jump the back of my left binding shattered and the ski went barreling down the hill nearly colliding with quite a few people. From the fall i managed to twist my ankle since the release of the ski was a bit awkward because of how the shattered binding releasing from my foot. As i sat on the ground i thought "shit... if this had happened to me going off the bigger jump i could have broken my leg or really fucked up my knee". From that day i always tell people the truth about the products marker puts about. If you have any sense at all, do not buy marker bindings. On top of it they sponsor Brad Holmes, so shit... you'd have to be a fool to buy their stuff.

Salomon Bindings: What people said about the unnecessary releases is true. And i hated those "wings". I had to crank them up to 10 just so they wouldn't come off. The release in the front is really bad.

To Salomon's credit though they do make very comfortable boots and I do own a pair of this year's 1080 boots.

I'd have to say my favorite companies are Armada, K2, Anon and Sessions. Their stuff has worked very well for me.

line bindings r way to heavy but the skis r cool, i dont like salomon or rossi because the skis seem week...they may have changed though i havnt skied on em in a while

People who say Salomon bindings suck probably don't have any idea how to set them up. You all just think this shit gets mounted to your ski and it's all good. You have to adjust the din and wings so they fit to your boot right.

haha it's kinda wierd because 10 doesn't really sound like that high of a din setting to me. I just always have mine cranked so they don't come off unless they really need to. They're at like 10 but when I really want them to stay on I'll put them up. Oh well not really a big deal
