Besides sucking in pow what are some disadvantages? What are disadvantages of a fatter park ski (anthems)?

generally along with width comes weight.... just one thing to consider. heavy park skis can suck at times

i had a pair of dynastar nothing but troubles a while ago which were super skinny. they weren't terrible, but i prefer wider skis now, i think its easier to grind with wider skis. I have a friend with a pair of anthems and he loves 'em. there not bad if your gunna go in a bit of powder either.

i dont really know any disadvantages of skinny skis but i know they're super dope for rails, cause they're light and rthe whip around easy for switch ups and stuff

skinnier skis have slightly less stable landings, if its even noticeable. I generally like my underfoot to be 85+ because I don't like the feel of skinny skis.

Not as good for out of the park, like on pow days or spring slush and soft snow. Not as stable on landings, a bigger ski will give you a larger platform to land on.

they're bad for when it's bottomless pow and the mtn forgets to groom the park so you have to ride the park in sick pow, then they suck......................
i saw kids doing that in whistler, i wanted to shoot them

I personally don't like skiing on skinny skis (i.e. 90mm and less).

To me it just feels funny plus I don't ski park so i really don't need a skinny park ski for anything.

my skis are 80 underfoot which is relativly skinny. Nice and light, easy to spin, no trouble with landings. In powder it will suck if you are heavy though but im like 110lbs so they work fine in pow.

Honestly, a wider waist does give you more stability but if you are a descent skier than you should look into a thinner waist becouse it takes off alot of weight.

you need to find a good balance IMO. because a wider ski will gove u more stabilty on jumps and rails, but theyll be slower for spinning, switch-ups on rails and in the pipe. I think the anthems 94 is perfect. peace
