Dirty Cheap Skis

So I was wandering around Sport Chek tonight, helping a friend pick up a pair of skis. He ended up getting 04/05 Scratchs in 168 for $180 CDN. Not a bad deal. Pair it up with some Axial Power 110s for $120 and it's a pretty decent setup for his first pair of twins.

Anyways, I went to the other side of the rack and lo and behold, 4 pairs of dirty ass cheap skis. They are Techno Pro junior skis (injected core), but at $7.50 a pair, I had to pick them all up.

Now I have 4 pairs of skis and I need ideas on what to do with them. I could sell them at a ski swap, or make something stupid like a customized GT sled with 8 skis on it! Anybody have any good ideas?

 
hahaha, hell yeah! dude, if your cool with the peeps at your hill, like screw them onto a recliner or some shit, and ride it around after they close. the GT would be cool, maybe a skibike? haha, i dunno. keep us posted. those are reallll cheap skis lol
 
How about tacking a couple 2x4s on them and making some sort of toboggan? I think I'll wax them up before I do that.

How on earth were they selling skis for $7.50? What did they retail for? Definately try to make something cool with them.
 
They're stupid like that. Every once in a while, they'll just clear everything out so they can make room for new product. They originally sold for $120-$150, so $7.50 ain't too shabby.

I'm sold on the GT idea, now I just gotta find one that I can modify.
 
Those things are goofy... not sure I could ride one of those... unless I had a banana suit to go with it... hmm.
 
Yah, watch out for the guy in a Banana Suit this year at Marmot or Sunshine. Was thinking about the Spyder Old Fred suit, but that pissin' expensive
 
My buddies and I figured that it'd smell like a wet dog afterwards... and as cool as it would be to look like an ape, smelling like one probably doesn't help my chances with the ladies at the apres parties... unless they are really really drunk.

Something along the lines of the guy who is called the ryno is the drunk guy at the party making all the ladies feel akward.

go to a junkyard and pick up somthing sweet like a toilet and drill them onto that and go rippin around
 
Well, I sold 2 pairs at $50 a pair. Bought them for $7.50 each. After the consignment fees, I made a tidy $65. Now I won't feel so bad using these cheap skis for something really stupid.

Hmm, maybe I can do a burnout with my car and see if I can shoot a ski...
 
yea make a sled of some sort, my friends and i made a snow scooter with some cheap skis and a boogie board, and a ski pole (for handlebars) and it was great
