anyone know if its a big deal if i leave my skis that have dirty bases alone for the summer? is base cleaner a better option?

well to keep it real I started being a Poser Poser. I dress and act like a poser, but i'm not really a poser. I just pose to look like a poser posing. you know just keepin it underground

dude... take em to your shop... you gotta have a was type thing put on so they don't dry the fuck out over the summer.

christ you people are stupid, just clean the dirt off and then wax them and dont scrape it off for the summer it will keep your bases from drying out.

ok if you really wanna be kind to your skis:

*hot scrape, it cleans the bases

*wax em let em sit for 3 hrs then scrape em again

do this like 2-3X... hot scrapin cleans the

bases but also removes the wax, so ya need to

put it back into the bases. Wax = speed

*put a nice coat on for the summer so they don't

dry out.

yes i know it sounds like alot of work but you'll thank yourself next season when you have to traverse on a cat track and you're crusin and your friends are skating and goin nowhere

don't use base cleaner, it really really drys them out. so steer clear of that molocule f shit

If you mean that there is mud and shit on them then wash them with some water and mild detergent, then hot-scrape as was said above.

 
by hot scraping i think they mean hot waxing and then scraping off the wax. just a guess. i dont do mine and ive been alright so far.

don't use base cleaners?

Huh?

Anything orange based works the best. Citrus Solvent from Swix is one of the better ski specific products for the job. Just make sure to wax them properly after you clean them.

i didnt have orange clean so i stole my dads armor all wipes, haha they worked good but i really had to apply alot of elbow grease so i was mad tired after it took forever but they are now clean

whos in da house, SACA is in the house!!! hahahahmuhahahah
