i have a rm 125 and i wanna bore it out but i heard you cant beceause of the chrom bore in side(the sleave) so can i or and i not?

Ok I will try to respond to you the best I can.
I own a Yz125, so I know a bit about Mxs, and I study in mechanic (well kind of).
Normally, chrome cylindres are reusinated (sp?) ones. But normally you should be able to take it to a bike shop (road bikes) and they'll be able to make your cylinders oversized.
Hope I'm right.

Depending on his height/weight a 250 might be way too big for him. Or he's like me and prefer to have maniability over power (even thought 125s can be fast enough).

only experience i have is boring out my 50 like mad hahaha. but i'm almost positive my buddy has an rm 125...i'll ask him if he knows anything about it.

im almost positive u can but i havnt heard of chrome making a difference but its understandable i guess but if u call up even the company or a bike shop the could tell u exactley

haha but sorry, out of the like over 20 dirtbikes i've had in the last ten years i have never boared (sp?) any out. But yeah just go to your local dealer and ask them i'm sure they will know.
in fact, you should go to canyon motorsports in gaines, PA. because they are really nice and have great deals

what year is it? I can look it up for you. Depends on the year... you can bore the older ones but the newer ones have a nikasil lined cylinder which you cannot. How bad is it? if it isn't too bad you can hone it and get away without the bore which gets expensive with the machine shop work and oversized piston and rings. Look on ebay for a replacement instead of boring... you don't gain that much power anyways on the 125 and you lose some of the precious low end and more importantly some reliability.
I bored one of my cr125s and that was a mistake... it never ran the same (probably could have gotten better by playing with the jets a little more but still) and I had to rebuild the top end so much more often.

i wanna sell it so i can get a 50 but i cylinder is shot this is my only option or spend 600 and get a new cylinder
