Well this last winter we only had 2.5 months on manmade snow at the hill's around here, and about 3 weeks of combined real snow on and off... so it seems that the dirt is inevitable.

come to Gj colorado we have dirt skiing on these dirt veins off of this mountain in the desert. the dirt is crushed gray shale and it is soft like fresh pow pow

 
looks pretty cool actually.....lil rough when u bail. and i take it the skis wear kinda fast :P

Boy, I been dirt skiing since before you were born. Down the Cutbanks of the Fraser River in Prince George, B.C. they have been doing that up there for years and years. It was even in one of those warren miller films waaay back in tha day.

You should belive everything you read on the internet, it's all true.
 
Clifs are the only way to get any speed, cause it sticks to your skis like the shiz. And one more thing, use the crapiest skis you can find, the junkier and older the better.

dirt skiing or gting? Dirt skiing, you have to kinda like jump turn, you cant really get any good turns unless the hill is really steep.
