Director's Cut Contest Finalists and Voting

The Director's Cut Contest has entered it's final stage. Out of all of the entries, we at 4FRNT sat down, watched them all and picked the finalists that we thought were the best. Now it's your turn to decide who will walk away with fame, eternal fortune, and a brand new pair of 4FRNT skis.

You can vote for your favorite video three ways.

The first way is to just reply to this thread with the video you like the best. We'll go through the replys and count up all the votes.

The second way to vote is to "Like" the video on the Vimeo page.

Finally, you can go over to our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/4frntskis) and "Like" the video over there.

Voting will be open until midnight on March 31st, and we'll announce the winnner on here and in our monthly newsletter the week after the voting closes.
 
Finalist number 10, stoked! I was under the impression that all material in the edits had to be either provided or our own... it would have been much easier not to have to create a beat in garage band...

Most of them sucked.The one with the most likes is the best though, and the one posted in this thread is even better
 
I personally dislike all the edits with all the fancy effects and tempo changes.I find them are hard to watch. They don't capture the essence of what it is to be skiing.I don't like the tempo to be forced on me. I appreciate the skill and technicality required by the artists of the fancy edits, but in the end they do nothing for me.
 
can you be any more obviously trying to bias people to vote for your edit?

you've posted in this thread at least 4 times, each one bashing other peoples edits. stop being such a little prick bud.

and for the record i hadn't even heard of this contest til i clicked on this thread
 
I am not trying to be a prick. I don't even think my edit should be in there. I don't care for votes. My favorite is number 7. It is tasteful not flashy.
 
I have not bashed anyones edit individually. I bashed people who stole music for their edits, I think that is fair. And I also said I respect the talent and technical skill of the people making the flashy videos. Plus I never once posted that my video is in the contest.
 
Flashy is to keep attention, and to stand out if it is done well.

But just shut up about everything, not like level 1 or PBP make music for their movies.
 
Hey Everyone,

The voting for the Director's Cut is officially closed.

The winner is video #5, made by Joey Szela. Joey dominated the Facebook vote and ended up running away with it.

Thanks everyone for your votes, and especially thanks to everyone who took the time to submit a video. There were lots of great entries, and we'll feature some of the honorary mentions over the next couple months on our Web site. All of those people will get a 4FRNT t-shirt or beanie from us.
