DIN setting

Just got back from the shop(mounted my bindings) and not really sure if they set my DIN correctly, as toe and heel on both are at 5. I weigh 150lbs, 5 foot 7, 28.5 boot, 20 years old, type 2 but getting closer to type 3 skier. My bindings are Rossi axial3's, and range from 3.5-12. I've heard a lot of people tend to have different din settings from toe to heel as well. I went to dinsetting.com and it recomended me at 7. So is the shop wrong or the website? Thanks in advance for the help

Seems low. But it's impossible for us to know if it's right or not. You should go ask the shop. Even if you din out differently on the chart, it doesn't mean it's wrong, because the bindings could have been testing slightly off. Unlikely if they're toes and heels are at 5 on both bindings, but it's possible.

Your skier code is "L" and your din should be a "6" also remember the DIN Chart was created long before terrain parks were around. As far as different setting for toe and heel no binding manufacture recommends setting the toe and heel to different DINs.

"2 but getting more towards a type 3" means literally nothing dude. usually in reality, when people say this they are more of a one.

thanks, for letting me know this information. Next time I go to the shop, I will make sure to inform them I am actually a type one skier, because some idiot, who doesn't know me, told me this online.
