Yet again my local ski shop disappoints..

They could not guide me with what my DIN-setting should be so what do you guys think.

150lbs(68kg)

All-mountain

fairly aggressive

advanced

I don't know what other info you might want..

My DIN is set at 6, but I don't really trust the release when buttering and what not..

Who mounted the skis? If a shop mounts they can work out your din. If they can't they should not be mounting.

They did at the shop.. but they didn't really go into setting up the din... The guys at my local shop are not exactly "pros"... They are useless and don't really know shit.. They also said that my infamous' had rocker for better performance in powder... The standard in Denmark, or at least where I live, is super low..

Did they take your info and set the dins? If so then what is it your worried about? Most shops won't show customers how to set things themselves as that can lead to big problems if the customer adjusts things wrong.

And technically the rocker on that ski will help wit fresh snow so although they may not be a full on park shop I would give them a little slack.

I know I sound a little harsh.. They sell all kinds of skis, but I did talk to the "freestyle expert". anyway all that ranting was unnecessary I know.. What would you set the din at (it's a Marker griffon binding btw)

Well you have not given all the info we need but even if you had don't just try to set the din.

If you are not sure they set the din you can't be sure the forward pressure or afd height is correct. If these too are off even the correct din may mean the bindings release inconsistently.

Take them to a shop and just have tem set everything for you. Remember to take a boot with you.

Really? They mounted skis but have them to you completly unset? That sounds unlikely but could maybe be correct. What din are the toes and heels set to?

He set them both at a 6

They did not ask me about any of those things. I will go as soon as possible.

So they did set them? Are you worried that is too low or somthing?

Problem is he just set them without any info. I'm not sure what is usual protocol..

Yeah if he did not take your weight it's odd. He can work out your height obviously by looking at you and he would have the bsl from the boot.

If your worried just go back to the shop and chat to the guys.

No worries. Sorry I can't just say set them to this but with bindings you really want to be sure they are set correctly and I would hate for you to wreck yourself on my internet advice.
