Yo ,Mr bumps ,everyone's got there own opinion.....mine is if you ski hard and your din {I should say my din} is not cranked, I risk injury from my ski blowing off thus causing serious wipe-out.It's happend to me a number of times. My skis are mounted w/ 914's and 916's, set at 14 and 15.{yes I know its fucked up, because for optimum binding performance , it should be set near the middle of the springs range. But what am I to do?}I 'm pretty big and ripping thru super chunky, wet, blocky, or refrozen crud and dropping stuff puts serious torque + strain on bindings so If I didn't set them the way I do I'd be losing skis every run and every time a ski blows off at high speed in sketchy terrain there's a good chance of injury.Doesn't matter what the situation is,even going head over heels tumbleing down a steep face, if my skis stay on my feet, I'm much better off.............But whatever ,everyone do whats good n'safe for themselves
