Din setting Question

I am 6'1" and about 170 pounds, i have rossignol scratch brigades that are 185s and rossignol scratch 120 bindings. What should my DIN be set at. they had been at 9.5 but i always come out when im spinning. i cant really crank them too much because at 9.5 there close to max, but how high would your recomend on a 12 DIN rossi binding?

If you're popping out, try cranking them up a half step at a time. However, I wouldn't recommend cranking them past 11 on a 12 DIN binding. If you're still popping out, get your forward pressure checked, and if you pre-release after that, get a higher DIN binding.

oh yah and i had my bindings checked out the other day but all they did was turn them from 9.5 to 8.5 for liability reasons and they said my forward pressure was fine. Whenever my ski comes off the heel piece stays in the up right position, would this mean that my forward pressure is off?

I'd go for 9.5 or 10. Jacking it to 12 is a bad idea because it kills your springs. You wanna keep your din as centered as possible.

first this would go under gear talk i would put them to 11 im 5 8 and 150 lbs and mine are set at 9.5 each and i would also get a higher din in the future like 14 or 16

Up the forward pressure, if you still pop out crank the DIN up. It also might be something with the way you spin and take off. Also, a couple years I spun a ski off, landed on it, and got a whole bunch of stitches. Point is; the dangers of skis popping off your feet should hold more weight than ruining the springs in the bindings.

no hate but join the trick tip cult, theres a huge thread about din settings. but i agree, don't max out the din, bindings sometimes can't even take the pressure and they break, which could happen while your spinning or whatever. so theres still an injury risk+a ski ruining risk involved. funny, i have the same skis with the same bindings too, but im like 5'6 and 120. probly a shorter ski length for me
