DIN Number

I am about 145-150 lbs and I am an intermediate skier and I ski park. What should I set my DIN to? I just bought the Rossignol fks 140.

probably this if you have to ask what your dins should be you probably shouldnt do it yourself.

There's more to what your settings should be than just height and weight. BSL is critical.

Basically, if you need to ask, a shop should be setting up your gear.

height:weight:

skier type: I,II or ,III

boot sole length: (number on inside heel of boot)

age:

take the length of ur dick, in inches, multiply it by 4, and subtract your age. that should give u a pretty accurate number

Use that info he said above, and this chart. The number is gives you is for Skier Type 1. So if you're a 3 then go down two spots.

That's pretty much what all techs use, a chart similar to this, but possibly brand specific.

Kinda off topic, but how much should a binding mount cost? The local shop that is big with the locals is charging $45. It seems a bit ridiculous for a 10 minutes job. I think I might just do it myself.

the shop i work at charges 50, the one on the other side of town charges 30, Whatever you do dont do it yourself, i ruined a pair of skis doing that.

make sure you know what youre doing first. there is some site that has a tooonnnn of binding patterns, for almost all bindings. it has been posted here before.

i got the bindings on the skis fine, somehow i snapped the ski right under the binding soon after, im assuming it was from the mount.

probably was

if there is 1 thing you should go to a shop for its binding mounts. the jigs make is super easy for them and if you dont have one its pretty difficult.

its worth the money. if you dont spend it you could snap a ski. break a binding. like what happened to you

bring it to a shop. thats a pretty common price and its better than fucking up your skis and having to buy a new pair

Ajust progessively knowing that at the begining of the season you throw smaller than at the end.And see how often you lose your skis when you were not supposed to..

i'm 5'6" ~160 lbs and i go at around 10 because i really hate my skis coming off when it was just a rough landing. i don't even go that hard

but i'm getting new gear that will actually fit this year so that might change

Last time I let the shop set my din they set it at like a 5, first Nollie I doubled e'd onto my face. Anyways at first let the shop do and dial it in to your needs.

i was always bewildered by how my taller friends would have it at like 6 or 7 and not feel the need to change it. i always felt like i was gonna pop out and die just standing still and pressing with my din that low

just set them all at nine and youll be good to go

you will look like a wuss for going into a shop with FKS and not kmnow how to change them, id rob you right there
