I think my shop set my din to high on my bindings. I cant push the heel down to pop out of my skis. I have to step on the back just to get out. Here is my info if you can help

Height 6 2

Weight 175

Boot Size 28

Ski: Hellbent 169

Binding Jester

If you could help that would be great in telling me what my din should be

Its currently at 8

I just dont want to injure myself thanks

what do you mean you cant push your heel down to release? like stepping on one binding with the other boot? I punched in your stats on a din calculator, saying you were a type 3 skier and age 10-49 and it said you should actually be at a din 9 or 10. so Maybe your binding is just stuck, or you need to push harder

Are you trying to push it down with your hands? Use your poles.

Also, why the hell would you want so ski 169 hellbents at 6'2?

there are a few major things wrong with this

1. you are 6'2" and riding a 169 hellbent

2. you are worried about an 8 din yet you bought a 16 din binding

I suggest you learn a bit about ski gear before dropping all that money on stuff that is obviously wrong for you

Sweet baby Jesus 169 is short for your height. DIN is hard to say, because all bindings act differently. There are basic guidelines, but then it is all personal preference/the risk you are willing to take. You are the only one who can decide what is right. If you are scared they are too tight, loosen them. If you start to pop out too much, (and are willing to risk being a little tighter) then tighten them a little.
