im 130 lbs 5' 6" and my bsl is 297mm and its a pair of invaders with solly z12tis

the DIN was at 5 so i just turned the toe pieces to 6 but i dont know how to turn the DIN up for the heel to 6 aswell. Where do i screw for the heel pieces?

and shouuld i go up to 7?

THanks

id try six and if its still a problem then go to seven and it should be in the back just look harder you may need to pop up the heel peice

Depending on what standard of skier you class yourself as:

According to the Salomon chart, If you are type 1 you should be on 4.5, type 2 at 5.5 and if you class yourself as an aggressive skier (Type 3) you should be set at 6.5

So i don't know where your shop got 5 from (Unless it was a discretionary setting)

yeah it should be right on the back of your binding, often in the release shaft you know the thing that looks like a stubby dildo.  I'm 5'6, 160 pounds and my DIN is set at 7 and it's perfect.  If you know you're popping out too early, increase by small increments at a time.   i always increase it by a quarter each time and see if that works.  you don't want it too high or you could get hurt

I'm 5'9 and 125 and ski I wiith DIN 7.5.. this releases when necessary but not when I'm buttering

im 6' type 3 and my shop set it to 4.5. i asked them t turn it up but they said they couldnt because of insurance issues.

yeah i've heard that from several shops.  fuck if i skied with my DIN around 4 i'd be so hurt by now

Also depepnds on the type of binding, but that shouldn't vary much (at a stretch it would be +- .5)

Many binding companies allow discretionary settings provided you sign a release waiver..

OR you could of course crank them yourself
