Ok, so when you fill out the info to have your bindings mounted, you MUST give your height, weight, age, and skier type. The tech will use your height, weight, age, and bootsole length, along with age which is only really applicable if you're 50+, to find your DIN setting. It's really not all that complicated.
Your DIN setting of 6 makes perfect sense if you put down your skier type as 1(beginner) , and have a bootsole length of between 311-330 mm.
If you were retarded and put yourself down as a type 1 skier, you deserve what you got. If you put yourself down as something else, your shop sucks. If you didn't put anything down, and your shop forgot to ask you, then you're all retarded.
