Digital rebel xt vs. nikon d70

well, i want one of the two, im leaning towards the d70 but i need some more advice.

i had something funny to say but i forgot it.

D70=better quality

Digital Rebel=A LOT cheaper

I chose the Digital rebel, and it works good for me.

i havent used a D70. But i used the rebel for school. It was ok. My dad has a d100 and a d2H and i them a whole lot more then cannon, but then agian my friend has a 2 different versions of the rebel (im not to familiar with cannon) and he likes them. Cannon and Nixon are both the top of the line so both are good choices, i would go with nixon though just because i am more familiar with them

 
do you have any kind of SLR already? if you have one, then get the smae company so you can interchange things such as lenes. i have a canon k2. so may i get my DSLR, im the canon 20D, i was going to get the rebal, but when the 20D came out, you get a lot more bang for your buck, and because i wanna major in photo, im getting the 20D. if i were you either get the 20D or the rebal XT, but if you will to pay more or your parents are, get the 20D

I use a d10 and d20 from Canon, they're awesome. I like the d20 much better, it's functions alot better.

i also looked at the d2h, i like its insaine fps. but it only has 4 mp

its depends what lens system you want to buy into. i'm all about canon personally.

ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

yeah its something like 8 fps, which comes in handy when shooting ski shots, But you do loose pixels over the cannon. I gues you either have to choose between speed or quality.

 
I'd look into the Canon 20d, which has a faster burst mode (5 fps) than the Nikon d70 (3 fps.) The 20d is also a much better camera than the Rebel. More expensive though.

Also Canon's lenses tend to be slightly cheaper than Nikon's...maybe you get what you pay for but I'm guessing they are both the same quality (at least the professional lenses).
