i have a fugifilm digital camera. gots 340 seconds of vid, and liewk 349 pics to take, sweet. only prob is like the pics have a dealay of a second so you have to like take vid of mobing things. sucls. nice camera though.

if you got like 500$ to spend on a digi still cam get the fuji finepix6800 . it is a small, and the color qaulity and image quality are way better than any other camera.

either the Nikon coolpix 775 or the Canon S30, both very nice cameras at a good price

i have fujifilm finepix 40i. pretty good camera with continuous 80 sec avi video shoot capability.

For sure go with the Canon Powershot 200. that's the one i have you can take 15 second movies w/ sound, it's 2.1 megapixel and you can buy an underwater casing for it, which is good for skiing. I sell cameras and thats the one thta i sell most of, you get awesome pics from it and it's really really small so it fits well into a pocket. They run about 599$

If you get a digital camrea.. get it stricly for its photo qaulity, dont sell out for the stupid gimmicks they put on em.

 
Film still takes way better pictures than a digi cam...anyone that says otherwise does not know anything. The grain structure of film is much finer than the pixels of any camera...also the color renditions are much better. The only advantage of a digital camera of a 35mm camera is that you can see the results right away. But a 35mm camera's image quality is far superior to a digi camera.
