Digital Camera

Im lookign for a good Digital Camera. My sister said Sony's very good but i was wondering what you guys think is a good one. Also if flash memory camera's are good?

I'm looking for a camera too. Possibly the sony alpha 230l. Any opinions on it or other recommendations?

are you looking for a point and shoot or a DSLR? decide that first, then post which you're looking for and we can help you out

but fwiw i've never been a big fan of sony cameras, their point and shoots are okay but i do not like their dslr's

Agreed. Stick with canon or nikon, especially if you're getting a dslr.

If you want a point and shoot, canon powershot cameras are great, for a more advanced point and shoot, check out the Canon G9, G10, or G11, and for an entry level DSLR, check out the Canon Rebel cameras (they're all about the same if you have no clue what you're doing...) Or the Nikon D40, or D60.

For the higher end cameras, definitely do some research before buying. Know what you're getting into.

i have a g9, its takes some great pictures, but its kinda like a brick and i wouldnt use it above iso 200. but it has a lot of features that are fun to play with (colour swap, time lapse, nice macro)

the new s90 is like a compact g10 if you're looking for the features of an slr but in a tiny body
