ok so im new to the whole camera and picture game so i need some people who know what there talking about to point me in the right direction. what i want is

5+ megapixels

under 350

fast shutter speed for sequences

so i really have no idea about anything when it comes to cameras but i would like to have one.

fast shutter speed as in like 5fps and up?

5 megapixels is pretty small, even low end p&s come with 6 -7.

 
he is saying more than 5 megapixels and i think by fast shutterspeed for not a digital slr like 3 fps.

but sorry i cant offer much help...
 
well i dont know shutterspeeds for point and shoots but...

look at the olympus stylus 730 ( i think thats the one)

i used one for abit at the camera show and it was pretty decent.

freezeproof, water proof, shock proof, sand/dustproof.

it would rock for a tille camera to just sling in your pocket and ski.

its about 300 cad.

 
samsung nv10  its 10 megapixels, has a continuous shot mode so you getmad shpots per second and the interface on the back is dope.
 
i'd check out the Canon and Sony Point and shoots in the 6 or 7 Megapixel range...5 is kinda low. i just started taking pictures with a canon sd800 elph, which I reviewd on this site, and it is a pretty good camera for a beginner.
