Different design for NS home page??

I was reading the NS magazine q&a when i came across www.cresusdesign.com, who helped designed the magazine, as Mousseau said. So i checked their website out and found this: http://www.cresusdesign.com/fr/projets/newschoolers

So I realised that those pics date back from 2010 (at least the screenshot, in upcoming events, says 2010), so was NS like that once? if yes then why the hell did it not stay like that? I love the way that theres a lot of featured stuff like cults (i never go on them cos i only know a few that r awesome), a facebook feed along with some twitter shit that looks nice, and not only the most upvoted stuff.

second, why are the hats not like the one above now? newschoolers on the side looks dope and orange is a sick colour (I'm kinda pissed, just bought the red hat, this one above looks way better)

Anyway, really hoping that NS home page will look like that in the future (again?) so people who only go a few times a day don't miss the good articles/cults/events.
 
Yep. NS did used to look like that. But it truly is a better setup now.

The only thing I liked more about the old hats is the text, it stopped people form asking "where did you get that Never Summer hat? So dope mon!"
 
how is it better now? anyway, i guess we'll just let this thread die, and the red hat will do :)
 
The homepage changed so it's all based on user ratings, not whatever the NS admin chose to put up on the top news (not that this was that bad).

Only part of the old page I miss was the news section, news never seems to get upvoted enough to get to the mainpage now. (Yes I know I can click the news tab Bishop)
