Difference of Tokina 11-16mm DX II vs I

Looking to add this to my small lens collection. Right now I have a Tamron 17-50 and looking to get something a little wider. I was looking at this lens and noticed there are two different versions. Could anyone tell me the difference bettween the two and if its worth buying the $200 more version II?

I believe it's just a silent motor. Could be wrong though. But if you're using it strictly for skiing, you'll be fine. Just shoot at a low aperture and everything is pretty much in focus.

besides the motor I think there is a new lens coating that is supposed to reduce flares. either way, the original 11-16 is a fantastic lens, and a new version doesn't make it any worse

The differences are the AF motor (the Nikon mount version didn't have one) and the coating.

If you own a Nikon D3x00 or D5x00, it's quite useful to get the new version. Otherwise, it's not that important.
