DifferEnce in T-Hall vs. AR6

Okay im sure theres been threads on both skis aplenty, but not one in comparison. THe AR6 and T-Hall are both simialr skis such as the Dumont and Suspect. THe AR6 and T-Hall have the same construction, dimensions, and cores. My question what are the flex patterns in each ski specifically.

Note that i'm a midwest rider and am 60% Jib 40% Jump if yourconcerning on giving me a "what ski is best for me" review.

Any Input is noted Cheers!

wow. are you serious?

anyway. it all depends on how big of the jumps you're doing. if they are big, then the t hall may be a little too buttery and wash out if you really throw down, so in that case go ar6's. but the t hall will be better for jibbing and may be more fun since the flex points on the ski are moved closer to the binding (only difference on the ar6 and t hall), however ar6s can still do urban just fine.

in general, i would say ar6's, but if you like a softer ski go thall and if you like a medium flexing ski, go ar6

I was completely thinking that the flexes were the other way around. Usually pro models are alot stiffer than the regulars, and normally tanner loves his stuff really stiff, hence why they buffed up the il moro t for this year. But in this case im thinking the T-Halls are best for me i really want somethingn soft and playful yet can handle its own on jumps.

Origionally i was on they hype train with the afterbangs but ive heard they blow on jumps and tend too rocker out over time, plus a 177 is too small for me, 186cm or 6'1.5''. But i relly wanna try and stick with a cemetrical demensioned ski.

literally only difference is the flex point is moved close to the binding a fair amount on Thalls(and in 09 they had the sick black/lyon graphic that needed light to see the lyon). if you are 60 jib 40 jump I would get Thalls of the two(unless you are hitting massive jumps with insaneness). Oh and 09 or 2010 thalls, not 07-08. 09s(08-09) and 2010s have a flet point, 08s(07-08, and before that) are noodly throughout. Armada makes sick skis....think of the thall as a better afterbang, that doesn't turn into a noodle in a dozen days.

this...
Cole, they changed the T-Hall 2 years ago, it doesn't was out anymore, the scarfaces and the lion of whatever (06 and 07 I believe) did was out, but they fixed it with the 08 and 09 models, Casabon was even using them at X last year.
The real difference is where the flex point is, the T-hall has a flex point on the nose closer to the binding than the AR6 and the AR6 is much stiffer in the tail than the THall, it has a soft tail so tail butters are sick. Based on that and what you said you like to do, I'd go with the THalls also, unless you like really big jumps (maybe over 40-50 feet or so).

The t-halls are so sick. for rails and shit. i got me a pair and i absolutely love them. they made the t-halls a tad stiffer from the previous years so you can still hit jumps with them and be fine. casabon hits huge jumps with them as COC so it should be fine. so if i were u living in the midwest i would get the t-halls.

ive skied both the 2010 ar6 and the 2010 t hall and i honestly couldn't tell the difference between the two. they're both sick.

id get the t halls though because tanner is the man.

Personally, Im gonna go for either 181 ar6 or pipecleaners. I think the ar6 has a carbon stringer in the tail which the t-hall does not have. Also Butters arent a huge priority for me, Im looking more for crud/ all-mountain performance and the ar6 and pipecleaner should be a bit better for that.

were they freshly out for demos? Because it takes about ~7 good full days of skiing to break in either AR6s or Thalls because of the flex they have, and before that they will feel a lot alike(because they are the exact same shape/materials).

On a side note, Pipe Cleaners have a very different flex IMO(AR6s have much more of a flex point, PCs have a softer seeming flex throughout, that is more smooth) and PCs break in alot faster. After all skis are fully broken in, Thalls will hand-flex and ski the softest, then PCs(to me anyways) hand flex softer than AR6s.

Well I have the 07-08 ones and they are a sick ski. I have not skied the new ones so I don't know much about them. I ski a lot of rails and only small jumps so for me they go very well and they don't feel like noodles cause they made a stiffer tail the make them poppy for urban. So if you only do small jumps go with the old ones but if you do big jumps a bit stiffer would not be bad. Good luck!

sweet that sounds like me, I dont even hit jumps over like 40-50 haha. mostly just do rails... how much do you weigh? cause from what ive heard they are crazy soft but who knows
