looking at the revivals in a 179, but am having a hard time finding them. I found a shop that has Iron maidens in a 179, what are the difference between the two?

i dont agree with you, the way I got it at ISPO is: the iron maiden is the new ski for last years recoil and has 121-90-117, while the revival remains the revival with 117-90-117. This means that they are quite similar skis, but the iron maiden has a bit better performance in deeper snow or anything but park in general, while it isn't perfectly symmetrical. So if you're going for park only - revival, otherwise I'd choose the iron maiden.

The Maidens I was speaking about are the mostly all black ones with the 'Killers' album art. Eddie holding the hatchet looking all crazy. Black and white base with yellow logos. That ski is built with JIB Rocker as was the Revival. Dimensions are 121/90/115. It is the ones in stores.
The NEW ones have the mostly red and black tops and is the 'Trooper' album art. That is the ski we just showed at the SIA and ISPO tradeshows. Black and yellow base. Collins was holding them in the new gear forum. That ski and the Recoil (in stores now) are also 121/90/115 but built with an All-Terrain Rocker profile.

the normal revivals are not symmetrical, http://www.evo.com/outlet/skis/k2-revival.aspx they have the 121-90-117 as well.
to the OP I ride the revivals now (or did, depending on the condition of my core after my binding break) and they do well in the park but they aren't really that poppy, but they're still a really fun ski. I've ridden then about 15 days and I do have 1 edge crack, but that's about as bad as it gets. The revivals shred virtually everywhere even with rounded edges, and fly down groomers like no one's business. they would be a good choice, but if you are going for a mostly park ski I would go with the domains, which are a more buttery, symmetrical, ski very similar to the revivals

I would go for the domains, but I cant believe how soft the 179 version is. I owned line invaders and currently own blends as well. I consider those a soft ski, but when flexing the domain it just feels like it wouldn't be stable on anything.
