“Died Suddenly”

Reading the comments I’m glad to see most people, regardless of their stance, have moved on from the ridiculously toxic authoritarian rhetoric from a year ago.

I still get angry when I think back to a year ago and all the stress I undeservingly felt over the mandates, but it’s time to get on with life.

In the future I do think there will be a gradual mainstream acknowledgement that these pharmaceutical products caused serious issues in some people and that it was deeply wrong to have ever mandated them. I’m grateful to have held out - almost a year ago I was starting my first career job and I could see the vax card upload grayed out on the HR portal ready to go in case the large employer mandate was upheld. It really came down to the wire for me, and I still just said no. I learned a lot about myself, and about how others think during that challenging time.

- Covid is no more deadly than the flu

- Vaccines do very little, if anything, to stop the spread (Read: do nothing to stop the spread)

- Vaccines are not necessary for healthy people, and are a choice, like the flu shot

- Vaccines do not prevent infection, nor do they lessen the severity in most cases

As much as I want to shit all over your "facts", I simply have lost the motivation to pull articles for those who will write them off as fake because it doesn't fit their beliefs. Also when did this become the middle ages? Medicine is evidence based, not a popularity contest. The only anecdotes are how you ineffectively present your initial "facts". -Vaccine efficacy in the studies was calculated by infection rate and their efficacy has weaned over time as new variants have become dominant... so wrong again lmao. Anything that makes it to phase 3 will have demonstrated titer increases in the blood in phase 1/2 studies so if you want proof, there u go, Google the clinical trial data. Even a single dose initially provided some efficacy, but the second dose raised it over 90% which is why it was a 2 dose series (same concept for many childhood vaccines). Now vaccine efficacy is quite poor as our ability to reformulate vaccines and get to market is slow compared to the mutation rate. The antivaccine movement combined with lack of proper logistics to developing countries ruined any chance of eradicating covid by allowing variants to occur and proliferate. Now it's endemic and something we are just gonna deal with. Likely flu and covid are gonna be a combined vaccine in the coming years but reception by the public will probably remain low, if you consider the already low rates of flu vaccination.

masks don't work. period. no cloth or paper mask including the n95s work. i was naive enough to believe the n95s worked a year ago but they just don't and there have been studies to prove this (am i going to look them up? no because algorithm is going to make them hard to find + it's not going to make a difference). the only ones that work are the hard plastic ones with ventilators and shit that you see sometimes, if you know what im talking about (although my surprise factor would be 0 if i found out those don't work either).

Can you please share these studies you speak of? This isn't my identity. It's my job to know this stuff and how to evaluate articles lol. Even published articles in peer reviewed journals can have questionable conclusions; that's the benefit of and need for rigorously evaluating journal articles you read. If you're actually referencing journal articles in your reply above but the scientific community is writing them off, it is possible those studies had lots of gaps and issues leading their results to be questionable. Maybe not tho. Can't tell without reading them. To understand and evaluate medical articles one needs to possess knowledge of or be able to research and understand the disease/medication in question, understand trial design, and have a solid grasp of statistical concepts. Clinical significance is important to evaluate too so just because something is statistically significant, doesn't mean it's going to have a meaningful effect in the real world. Anytime the news reports on some article or new discovery, it's important to follow their source back to the original article and evaluate it. News outlets are sensational so being able to weed out the bs rather than wholly dismissing everything is important.

If you link an actual study and not some blog or video I'd be happy to break it down for you and describe why it may or may not be a problem.

If not, this graphic may be useful to you when considering whether to post something.

hey I'm doing this because I am priveleged enough with brains to make it through the program. To me, would be a waste not to. I did not wanna go to school for 8 years. My entire plan through grade school was to bum it up and be a skier. Some life changing events led me down this path, one of which was a concussion and the other a court trial. Hope you fall into some life changing events that change your attitude cuz it sucks.

also, healthy food ain't subjective.
