For a cutter, at least $300, and vinyl isn't cheap. For the trouble and hassle of setting everything up, its easier to use someone who makes custom die cuts.

two of my close friends have vinyl plotters and another works at a sign shop. anyways, from my/their experience, if you really want to make quality stickers, do not buy a cheap plotter. they will be more hassle and $ than it's worth. Vinyl really isn't that expensive at all, so don't short on the plotter thinking you will be spending all your money on vinyl. just my 2 cents.

as for a recommendation, I would look at Roland Vinyl Plotters.

yo man me and a couple friends just got into the die cut making

business for local skate/ski shops around town and we went through the

same trouble. but after a bunch of research we decided on getting the

GCC Expert 24.

As you can probably tell by the

name its 24" wide, so size wise it'll make pretty much any sticker you

want. also whats pretty sick is with a lot of cutters the software is

wack, but with this you can just import any vectorized adobe illustrator

.ai file and you're good to go. once you get the actual machine it just

takes a little tweaking with pressure and blade length and you'll be

cutting sick sticks in no time.

the only set

back is that its a bit expensive, but like stickerman said i def

wouldn't gimp on it. it runs about $450 pretty much anywhere you look.

here's one on ebay, but i bet if you look around you could find something cheaper:

good luck man pm me if you have any more questions i'd be glad to help out

i have a 'personal' cutter (but i do customs for ppl too) and id have to say its alot harder than i thought. its easy to find good, 5 year vinyl for cheap its the cutter that custom some serious cash. not as easy as just clicking ''print'' as most people think.

right here, dude this guy doesnt charge to muchhttps://newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/560809/page/3/

Gerber Profile 408

You can make frickin wood projects on it too. Might be a bit overkill though.

mmmmm z cut vacuum table, ten tool carousel, 5 foot by 7 foot cutting surface.

Seriously folks, I work with this bitch and a vacuum press, what should I construct???? I'm thinking longboard or skim board??

Wooden signs and plexiglass stencils are a breeze. Done quite a few stickers on it already.

^this. I personally know him, great guy and really good. and if anyone needs some die cuts for really really cheap hit me up!

Yeah I surf fish down the delaware beaches a lot during the summer. I've been wanting to make a skim board for a long time now.

this is right, i have a $2000 and rolls of vinyl are about $30 and transfer tape gets a little expensive... dont buy a vinyl cutter just find someone to cut your stickers for you
