I have never had shit that cool happen. A Pelican came in and swooped my bate fish once. Then tried to fly away hooked on my line. It was freaking the fuck out, but we eventually got the hook loose.

this happened to me once. only i didnt get to see the shark. I was deep sea fishing in alaska and we were pulling in a halibut and suddenly it started fighting hard, fought for a long time, then it got easier and when we got the halibut in it had a giant shark bite out of the side.

i had a pelican swoop down take my bait so i left the bail open then shut it after about 50 yds and its like it hit a wall in a cartoon, it stopped and went str8 to the water

Hahaha mine was trying to fly away and only got about 15 feet in the air, as I was reeling him back as he was fighting the pull. Eventually I reeled the pelican down into the water and stopped trying to escape.
