Did they really blow up chads gap??

You guys are idiots, Chad's gap is really just Pyramid gap shot from a different angle to make it look bigger. And Pyramid is still there, jeez.
 
I don't think Alta's ski patrol has the authority or the manpower to blow up one small hill(the landing of the gap). But yeah the Kicker got blown up after tanner hit it, but then last year I think it was when some other dudes started that thread and jumped it. So it's still there.
 
im not really sure just like everyone else in this thread but i think they moved chads gap to CO for safety issues? but either way a few pieces landed in my backyard when they blew it up so im stilll shaping it.
 
alright i got sick of readin this so if your really curious why dont you just go the hell up there and see for yourself! ha durrrr.
and if you cant do that, then why would you be worried about it?
not trying to be an ass, but i think i have seen this thread multiple times, or this question in a thread tons of times.
 
yah they havent updated those images for years. All the pictures of my area are of empty lots that havent been built on yet...
 
some of the people in here are incrediably gullible. But like, seriosuly, i want to film chads gap and im' going to alta, so is tehre a map or soemthign?

what makes you think snow has the capabilities being bomb proof? some folks on the east can argue, but i dont see it.
 
i heard MFM's crew photoshopped pictures of it being blown up to keep people away, and then someone went to go look, and MFM proceeded to beat them up, and then chad himself came out of the mine and ate the skiers

you've got it all wrong. MFM pulled a cab 10 nose grab over chad's and then to prevent anyone from one upping him, he had the army corp of engineers remove the landing. so now its not chad's gap but chaddy to flatty. rumor has it he shot trainwreck for trying to drop it to flat. or was that mack dawg...
 
it's still there.

I hit the jump last week. I did a double backflip into a 1080 cork then i managed to go the other way with a bio 360 and cartwheeled my landing.

it was sweet
 
I heard in the summer tony hawk and tim glomb put down plywood and they sesh it all summer and if anyone comes near them they call them socal wuss bags
 
all wrong.

alta spread rumours that they blew up the gap, but really they just cut down the tree on the landing and now noone can find it.
 
I had my crew of cameramen and photographers all on me when I did that trick. But for some reason the equipment exploded because it couldn't handle what had just happened.
 
yeah trolls can be nasty they are at the ski area my friend skis at. They pop out of the creek and start chasing you and try to grab at your skis and they screech and all it is crazy.

i heard jon started this rumor cuz hes moving the JOI there next year. he didnt want anyone going up there this year so he could keep it a secret while they set it up
 
This is true.

I've been training for a class up at alta and i talked to the guys there and that is what happened. If you look up where chads used to be, there are alot of big bulldozer tracks. You can see the hill where the jump is built usually, and now its just flat afterwards. They also put some deep grooves in the inrun so that no one tries to gap the like 300ft gap to the next downhill area by it. They could be easily filled in if needed though.

It's a bummer but at least pyramid is still around, for now. Apparently they are trying to mow down pyramid too. They also said something about a project they are putting together to survay the area throughout the winter and bulldoze any other gaps that were used over the winter, due once again to liability.

it was the jum,p- they used avalanche explosives- they couldnt blow up[ the landing- its mine tailings- that shit doesent move
