Yeah Ian! ! To say that a skier is a bad skier or an idiot is an opinon and we can all agree or disagree. Pointing out jerks on the ski hill or the lodges or even the parties seems to be fair game. However, to say someone has an STD isn't an opinon but makes people think you have inside information on someone's private medical issues. (And even if you do, there are privacy issues for which in real life, you could be sued.) As Ian said, an STD is a serious thing and people are dying of them even if it isn't AIDS. Even those who don't die have their lives completely transformed into a private little hell. People on the internet make fun of all sorts of things but that doesn't mean it all belongs on newschoolers. Not sure why some of you are so interested in who are the pro hos and all that... just because a female is outgoing and enjoys a party doesn't mean you know what goes on and, really, who cares unless you are a gossipy 14 year old with nothing going on. If it was your sister, you probably wouldn't care if people said she was a bad skier because you might say it yourself. but you should be upset if they call her a whore (which she probably isn't) and say she has an STD (which they can't possibly know). This site is about skiing and skiers and I don't see any threads being deleted where people speak their minds or opinions about skiing and skiers even if it is contrary to the opinion of the mods. That is what makes newschoolers so interesting.
