Did the perisher boarder die?

So yesteday was at the park lining up for the black and planning a big ol backy when this kid in front sets off (he is pretty decent been pulling 360s n stuff with some decent tweaks)

He goes off the enormous kicker, under rotating a back flip whilst overshooting the whole landing and *BAM* lands right on his neck on the hard deck!

After 15 minutes of 5 med peeps with him and three skidoodles, they close the park for the rest of the day (there was only a good 40 minutes left)

Went to freeride a line form the peak near top of quad and a heli flies over to the park to pick the kid up (which is rare as perisher doesnt have a heli)

So, is he dead, did he break his neck? Anyone know? Also what do yall think of the new coca cola park they set up last night?
 
This site needs a death pool. Everyone takes bets on when someone dies and whoever is betted on dies first, that bettor wins the whole pot.

OK I'll go first; OP by my own nail polished hands in the next half hour. $1,000,000.
 
Someone else died at Perisher which might be confusing. A boarder also got pulled out of an avalanche at Thredbo. Super lucky - he had an air pocket in front of his face and survived for over an hr and is fine. The patrollers found him with a probe at a depth of 2.5m (8 1/2 ft)

damn super lucky. Avalanches are probably the last thing that comes to mind when I think about Australia.
 
Yea man, two peeps have died at perisher this past week, hope the dude at the jump gets better, was riding the same park as him all day and he was talented! Was weird when i found out the guy who died in back country was the dude i was having drinks with a few days before at The Man... was a really awesome guy! Shame.. Poor 7year old too! And as for the avalanche dude, lucky break!
